The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that some fatal storylines could be in the works.
Dangerous plot twists are always just around the corner in Genoa City, so we should consider whether two key players might face a grisly outcome.
As the week of August 24-28 winds down, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will be seen in new scenes with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is on the verge of panicking over Matt’s disappearance, but it sounds like he’ll be locked up with Patty thanks to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Once Matt is presumably shown in Patty’s maximum-security psychiatric ward, Y&R may ultimately let them escape together.
It makes sense considering the timing of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) romantic getaway.
Diane and Jack’s trip will begin right as Patty reappears on-screen, so there’s a good chance she’s going to flee and cause chaos for the newly reunited couple.
That leaves the door open for Matt to escape and cause more drama of his own.
Of course, it’s possible Patty will be recaptured and locked up again at the end of this arc, but then what’s the point of her getting out at all?
The show’s already done the story of Patty’s arrest, so maybe it’s time for her to get a more permanent exit.
Could Patty get killed off in some final faceoff with Jack, Diane or both?
Even if it’s a presumed death situation, we could imagine Patty facing a grim fate.
The same goes for Matt if the show decides it’s time to wrap his run for good.
This would be a great opportunity for Matt to revert to his evil ways and start building toward a deadly departure.
Whatever the case, Patty and Matt’s alliance can only lead to trouble!
Some dramatic climaxes could be brewing involving these characters, so stay tuned to see if Matt and Patty might be killed off.
