The Young and the Restless Friday, April 24 Recap: Matt Reveals Deadly Plan, Victor Rattles Phyllis

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, April 24, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will confess the grim outcome he has in mind for Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) leaves Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) reeling.

In Phyllis’ office, Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will mock her for talking to her own portrait as they arrive.

Phyllis will threaten to throw Victoria and Victor out, but they’ll convince her to hear what they have to say first.

Victor and Victoria will eventually present the evidence that their new AI program has cooked up.

Phyllis will insist the emails and documents aren’t real, but Victoria and Victor won’t think that’ll matter since they look legit and Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) is the new DA.

Several division heads will also appear and will be willing to testify against Phyllis, but she’ll scoff over the Newmans’ intimidation tactics.

Victor and Victoria will make it clear that Phyllis needs to sign Newman Enterprises back over to its rightful owner or else prison is in her future.

Phyllis will call Victor’s bluff and push him to take this to court, but he’ll warn her to have the transfer papers drawn up by the end of the day.

Once Phyllis is alone on Friday’s Y&R episode, she’ll mutter to her portrait about how they might be in trouble.

Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will come look at the proof soon after.

Michael won’t think there’s any way out of this since the fabricated evidence backs up what Phyllis actually did.

The fact that these division heads are willing to testify against Phyllis will also be a major concern for Michael.

Plus, if Christine offers Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) deals to turn against Phyllis, it’s not likely either of them will turn her down.

Michael will push Phyllis to surrender or else she could land behind bars, but Phyllis will refuse to give up.

At the Newman ranch, Victoria will tell Victor that they’re getting their company back either way, but she’ll hope Phyllis takes the deal for her children’s sake. Victor, on the other hand, will admit he wouldn’t mind seeing Phyllis do some prison time.

In Las Vegas, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will offer Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani) half a million dollars if she’ll give them Matt’s location.

Riza will be reluctant to trust the Newmans, but Nick will insist they need the info before she gets the money.

Riza will finally admit Matt told her to make Nick and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) think she was betraying him.

Matt wanted Riza to give up his location at an abandoned gas station where he typically stores his merchandise.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will fume over Riza making Adam and Nick plead for the info anyway, but Riza will insist she was reluctant to send them into a trap.

Nick and Adam will convince Riza to get on the phone with Matt and make him think that they didn’t take the bait.

Riza will do her part and will pretend the Newman brothers are headed back to Genoa City to protect their loved ones there.

At one point, Riza will give Adam a gun for protection, which Chelsea will object to since things are getting way too dangerous.

Nick will insist on driving, so Adam will worry since he’ll be all over the road.

Adam will see that Nick’s drugs are either kicking in or he’s needing more, but Nick will shut down the conversation as they race to save Noah and Sharon.

As for Chelsea, she’ll swap stories with Riza and make it clear that Adam is no longer interested in whatever they used to share.

Chelsea will declare that she’s Adam’s present and future.

Outside the abandoned gas station, Matt will pull a gun on Noah and Sharon in the car before leading them in the building.

That’s where Matt will gloat about his upper hand while Sharon tries to convince him to leave Noah out of this.

Noah will try to play Matt by insisting his affair with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) was unforgivable and will urge him to let Sharon go instead.

Matt will insist no one is going anywhere except for him!

After Riza’s call, Matt will decide he’ll have to deal with Adam and Nick later.

For now, Matt will taunt Sharon and Noah by insisting one of them will have to watch the other die first while they’re chained up with no food or water.
