The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, August 28, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will lay down the law with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will also get emotional during her getaway with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
In Tahiti, Diane will complain to Jack about their room being more rustic than they anticipated.
The hotel also won’t have room service, but Diane will discover that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) packed them some snacks and a bottle of bubbly.
After skinny-dipping and some dancing, Diane will decide Jack is right about having everything they need.
In a vulnerable moment, Diane will tear up over her memories of finding Jack in bed with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) and how it affected her.
Although Diane will still struggle with feeling like she’s enough for Jack, he’ll vow to prove it since she’s enough now and forever.
At Society, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will be suspicious when she hears about Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) latest meeting with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
It’ll leave Sally worried that Lily is setting a trap and might know more than she’s letting on.
Sally will push Billy to stay on alert when it comes to Lily, so he’ll assure Sally that he has a plan.
At Lily’s penthouse, she’ll talk to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) about giving Billy the chance to convince her that he should run Chancellor.
Lily will admit her plan was partially about seeing if Billy knew anything else he might let slip.
Lily will think this whole situation with the loan just doesn’t make any sense.
There’ll be questions about whether Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) knew and why she didn’t pay it back if she did.
Lily and Cane will consider the possibility that Billy is stirring up something that’ll unearth some other worse secret.
If that’s the case, Lily will suggest it might be better for that revelation to happen once Billy takes over.
That way, Billy can be the one left holding the bag.
However, Cane won’t know if they should surrender Chancellor based on what might happen.
It’ll be decided that bursting Billy’s bubble might be the best way to protect themselves.
Lily will settle on continuing her battle with Billy to buy them more time to dig deeper into this story.
At the Newman ranch, Phyllis will meet with Victor under the guise of discussing Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) being upset about Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), but Victor will know she hasn’t talked to her daughter in months.
Phyllis will ultimately admit she’s really there because she believes Victor is behind Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) disappearance.
After all the other abductions Victor has orchestrated in recent months, Phyllis will think he’s a pro by now.
Victor won’t admit to anything and will invite Phyllis to go ahead when she threatens to call the cops about this.
That’ll leave Victor suggesting that they can get rid of the real danger in Genoa City.
As Phyllis heads out, she’ll vow to find Matt and warn that Victor isn’t going to get away with this if he’s responsible
Phyllis will eventually turn to Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) for help, so he’ll worry about her close connection to Matt the lunatic.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis won’t give up when it comes to scoring Matt news, so stay tuned.
