The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Friday, October 16, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will have one condition for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) if he’s going to check himself into a mental health clinic.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also have a special delivery for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) ahead of their marriage ceremony.
As Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) prepares for the wedding with Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), she’ll once again express concerns about the marriage and what Billy might do if it implodes.
Billy will head to the athletic club and praise Pietro (Jai Rodriguez) for bringing Sally’s vision to life.
Y&R fans will also see some sweet family moments with Billy, Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) since they’ll make it back for the nuptials.
In Sally’s suite, Coco Spectra (Ashley Campbell), Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will help her get ready.
At one point, Billy will bring a letter to the door for Sally to open just before she heads down the aisle.
Sally will be out of the room as Audra and Chelsea debate whether they should check the contents to protect Sally’s happiness.
Chelsea will convince Audra to keep the letter sealed since Billy obviously has a sweet message for his bride.
After the others take their places downstairs and Sally’s dressed in her gown, she’ll smile as she reads the note Billy delivered for her.
Billy will don his groom’s clothing as well and mingle with some of the guests ahead of the event.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman), Michael Badlwin (Christian LeBlanc) will all be in attendance.
Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will show up with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) as well and jokingly push Victoria not to catch the bouquet.
After Cane hints about boosting his own marriage odds, Lily will warn him not to propose today since they’re nowhere near bouquet catching.
As for Chelsea, she’ll remind Adam to behave on Sally and Billy’s big day. Adam will indeed manage to be cordial with Billy before the wedding ultimately begins.
Once Billy takes his spot and the bridesmaids file in, a glowing Sally will appear looking all ethereal as she prepares to walk down the aisle.
At Sharon’s cottage, Matt will still be asleep on the sofa.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will make it clear that if Matt wakes up wanting anything other than help, he’ll have to be dealt with.
Matt will apologize for being so pathetic last night when he awakens, but Sharon won’t blame him for being emotional and vulnerable.
Since Sharon will have already made a call to the clinic for Matt, he’ll indeed think he needs to get help in a safe space.
Matt will assure Nick that he’ll be out of their lives if goes there, but he’ll have one condition. When Matt insists he wants Sharon as his therapist, Nick will give him a hard no on that.
There’ll be some debating, but Matt will stand his ground since this is a dealbreaker for him.
Sharon will eventually agree to be Matt’s therapist, but only if he accepts that he may need someone else if she can’t help him.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Matt will get on board with that, but Nick will seem like he fears bad news is brewing.
