The Young and the Restless (Y&R) update for Monday, August 3, indicates that one couple will plan a romantic trip to reconnect while some payback-related choices are made elsewhere.
Patty Williams’ (Stacy Haiduk) fate will also be revealed – at least for the time being!
At the park café, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will be relieved when Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) calls Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) with new intel.
Burrow will offer up info on Dr. Laurence Markham’s (Jere Burns) arrest and Patty getting thrown in a maximum-security psych ward to await trial.
Instead of spending their time dwelling on the pain Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) caused and trying to make him pay, Diane and Jack will put a pin in any revenge talk.
At the athletic club, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will tell Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) about Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) being able to see again and will be eager to put the Newman-Abbott feud to rest.
Kyle will hint about retaliating instead since he won’t be willing to let go of his resentment or drop his guard.
Once Kyle catches up with Diane and Jack on Monday’s Y&R episode, he’ll question them about how they’re going to strike back at Victor.
At the Newman ranch, Nikki will convince Victor to take her on a romantic trip to Venice – just the two of them.
Victoria will like the sound of that once she pops up and hears their plans.
In rehab, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have an awful nightmare that involves popping pills and being unable to save Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) from Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) deadly wrath.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will lash out at Nick in this bad dream until he wakes up startled.
Nick will consider calling Sharon for support, but he won’t want to stress her out.
However, Nick will be extremely agitated and will start to view coming to rehab as a mistake.
At the coffeehouse, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will delight Sharon with a reunion after getting discharged from her psychiatric facility.
There’ll be some talk about Mariah getting welcomed back to her old life with open arms since she already reunited with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and Aria Porter-Copeland (Maddie and Millie Ingle) at home.
Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) will come along to catch up with Mariah and offer some big news of his own since he’s leaving for LA with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun).
After Noah insists it’s just for a while, he’ll explain that it’s not a good idea for him to stay in town and keep crossing paths with Matt.
Noah will suggest he can come back with Sienna after Matt’s gone and Nick’s feeling more like himself.
Mariah will hear about all the latest Matt drama and Nick’s rehab stint thanks to this conversation.
Noah will assume Sharon will try to talk him out of this LA decision, but she’ll get behind it instead since she’ll want her son to be safe.
