The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, July 6, reveals Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will throw some shocking accusations at Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and leave Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) caught in a tricky situation.
At the Abbott mansion, Diane and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will wonder where Jack is when they walk through the door.
Wounded Jack will be on the floor in the dining room when he manages to pull the tablecloth and smash something to get their attention.
Diane and Kyle will panic when they see Jack with so much blood everywhere.
While Diane tries to stop the bleeding, Kyle will call 911 and end up surprised since the police were already called along with paramedics.
Diane will notice the knife near Jack and assume Patty was responsible, so she’ll worry that Patty could still be somewhere in the house.
After the EMTs arrive, they’ll have to restart Jack’s heart, but they’ll eventually get him stable enough to transport to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Patty will be cornered upstairs, but she’ll claim she was hiding from Diane.
Patty will have slashed her own arms to sell the bogus story that Diane escaped from her therapist’s care and attacked her before turning the knife on Jack.
Of course, Kyle will tell a very different story about Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) holding Diane captive and rescuing her tonight.
Although Kyle will back up Diane’s story about finding Jack when they came home, Patty will continue to claim Diane’s the dangerous one and will want her arrested.
Diane will contend that Patty is insane and will want to get to the hospital to be with Jack.
Patty will insist that’ll happen over her dead body, so Diane will lunge at her and insist that can be arranged.
Patty will point out that Diane is threatening her and argue that she should be the one by Jack’s side at the hospital instead.
Detective Burrow will finally shout that’s enough and refuse to let anyone leave until he gets some real answers.
Patty will maintain that Diane is responsible and act like the evidence is all over her since she’ll be covered in Jack’s blood.
At Crimson Lights, Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will get Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) reassurance that she won’t mess up his Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) plans.
Matt will see that Phyllis cares about him, but he’ll mention that she didn’t agree to his date offer.
At The Shadow Room, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will be holding down the fort while Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) is at the Newman ranch after visiting Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
Once Sienna speaks with Noah over the phone, Y&R spoilers say she’ll turn her attention to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
Sienna will mention that Noah isn’t there since he’s been dealing with a family medical emergency.
Audra and Sienna will push each other’s buttons as usual until Noah decides to come to the bar instead of going to bed.
That’ll give Audra a chance to ask about the medical drama and learn that Nikki is hopefully on the mend.
Audra will try to butter Noah up and will reach for his hand at one point, so Sienna will remain annoyed by their bond.
When Matt shows up with Phyllis, Noah will lash out over Matt’s presence again, but he’ll ultimately allow them to stay.
Phyllis will try to warn Matt about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Cane not being people he can count on.
Matt will acknowledge that he doesn’t trust Phyllis either, but he’ll admit she’s hot and that clouds his judgement.
After Matt talks about wanting to know the person behind Phyllis’ mask, she’ll surprise him by agreeing to go on that date after all.
