The Young and the Restless Monday, October 12 Recap: Matt Says Hero Time Is Over, Sharon’s Creepy Phone Call

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, October 12, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will decide he’s done trying to please the people of Genoa City.

Also, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will react to a strange call that leaves her suspicious.

At Society, Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) will tell Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) about a car that was found smashed up 100 miles south with Matt’s fingerprints inside.

Detective Burrow will also point out that trace amounts of blood were found.

Since both the driver’s door and the passenger’s door were open, Detective Burrow will assume that Matt wasn’t alone.

Nick will admit that Matt claimed he was leaving town with Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).

Adam will hope that maybe Patty and Matt took bus headed somewhere else, but Nick won’t think they’ll be lucky enough to be rid of them both.

At Sharon’s house, Y&R spoilers say she’ll answer her phone and wonder who’s there when no one says anything on the other end.

Matt will hang up at the Riverbank Motel and mull over what he really wants.

Although Matt will briefly tell himself that Sharon understands the concept of a second chance, he’ll ultimately decide she’d dance on his coffin with a tray of oatmeal raisin cookies.

Matt will determine that his plan to play the hero didn’t work out, so he’ll declare that hero time is over and seem ready to target Sharon.

Back at Sharon’s cottage, Nick will show up and fill her in on the car accident news.

Sharon will mention the phone call she got earlier and wonder if Matt was on the other end of the line.

Sharon won’t want to believe Matt would come back there after making such a big show about leaving town.

However, Nick will make it clear that he doesn’t trust Matt.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will gush about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) turning his life around and think he deserves this happiness with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Billy will eventually make his way to the athletic club, where Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will gloat to him and everyone who’ll listen about her new ownership.

Sally, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Coco Spectra (Ashley Campbell) will deal with Phyllis and all her gloating as well.

Phyllis now owns the wedding venue, but Sally and Billy won’t let that get them down!

Phyllis will also sit down for a meal with Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei), who’ll shock her when he admits maybe they should work together.

Although Daniel’s main goal will be saving Phyllis from herself, he’ll admit to loving her and missing her a little, too.

Phyllis will be over the moon over Daniel’s decision and will pull him into a big hug.

Over with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), he’ll suggest a smokescreen where they start hating each other in public to make sure their secret stays under wraps.

Once Victoria heads to the Newman ranch, she’ll pitch the idea of moving forward with the Vibrante and Jabot social media feud after all.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will get on board and listen to Victoria complain about Kyle being irritating.

Back at the Abbott mansion, Kyle will pretend he slept at the office after getting caught up in a work crisis.

Jack will push Kyle to get a personal life and learn to clock out sometimes.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will have to be careful as this storyline moves along, so stay tuned.
