The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, October 5, shows that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will make a tearful plea to Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier).
Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) will also infuriate Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) and leave her spinning out in a big way.
On the road together, Patty will happily chat about changing their identities and seeking a fresh start somewhere, but Matt will have other ideas.
When Matt admits he wants Patty to turn herself in, she’ll accuse him of wanting to go play house with Phyllis again.
Y&R spoilers say Matt will deny that and try to appeal to whatever good might be inside Patty.
Since Patty will refuse to get thrown back behind bars, she’ll snatch the steering wheel to run Matt off the road.
At the park café, Phyllis will meet with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) inside and get good news about their deal being done.
Phyllis will officially be the new owner of the GCAC and the office building across from Newman Tower thanks to a bunch of loans.
Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will arrive and question why Phyllis was looking so chummy with Cane.
Phyllis will divulge her deal to Daniel in private, but he’ll worry this involves more scheming and will call Summer for backup.
Phyllis will get emotional over hearing Summer’s voice and will ask about her dating life, but Summer will shut her down.
Summer will remain off-screen on the other side of this phone call, but Phyllis will hope to see her and will tearfully plead for a family reunion.
It’ll be obvious that Summer is still freezing Phyllis out since she’ll make up some excuse to end the call.
However, Phyllis will tell herself she’s made progress since Summer didn’t hang up on her.
At Society, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) still won’t have her test results since the lab is overloaded.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will offer to pull some strings, but Lily won’t want to jump ahead of other patients in line.
Devon Winters (Bryton James) will come along and realize there’s a secret, so Lily will confess her cancer might be back and will get some comfort.
Cane will witness Lily and Devon in a warm embrace, so that’ll leave him suspicious when he walks in.
After Devon and Nate head over to the bar, they’ll discuss Lily’s medical drama.
Devon will shock Nate by suggesting Lily should tell Cane, who was a great source of support the last time she faced a cancer fight.
Back with Lily, she’ll finally admit to Cane that she’s indeed withholding some information.
That said, Lily won’t be ready to tell Cane what’s going on yet and will push him to trust her until she can share more.
At the Newman ranch, Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) will grill Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) faceoff with Joe (Chris Grant Wenchell) and act suspicious over their stories lining up exactly.
It’ll seem like Burrow thinks Nick and Victor have rehearsed this, but Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will argue that the story’s true.
Adam will do his best to put Burrow’s attention back on missing Joe instead of whatever Nick might’ve done to him.
