The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, September 21, reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will make some ominous comments that leave Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) on edge.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will also have some suspicions about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), so let’s discuss what’s in store.
At the Abbott mansion, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will have another meltdown since the cops still haven’t been able to find Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Nikki will show up and worsen Diane’s mood soon after.
After Nikki reveals that Vibrante’s new launch date will be Valentine’s Day, she’ll assure Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that there’ll be no Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) issues.
Even so, Diane will worry about the potential for sabotage and privately try to convince Jack that this could be a setup. It’ll also bother Diane that after everything they’ve been through, Jack is still putting his friendship with Nikki above her.
At the tack house, Victoria will text with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as they schedule an “in-person meeting.”
Nikki will find Victoria looking flushed from all the flirting and suspect she could be sick, but Victoria will promise she feels fine.
Nikki will also notice that Victoria is getting messages, but Victoria will manage to conceal that she’s been texting with Kyle.
At the GCAC, Billy will have some concerns about Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) plan to ask Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to be a bridesmaid.
It’ll leave Billy worried that Adam will be Chelsea’s plus one, but Sally will argue he probably won’t want to come.
Since Billy will want Sally to have everything she wants for their wedding day, he’ll get on board with her new bridesmaid plan.
At the park café, Adam will assure Chelsea that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is fine at boarding school, where he’ll be settling in with classes and sports try-outs.
Chelsea will also talk to Adam about her positive conversation with Sally and her desire to be on good terms.
Adam will think he’ll always be some version of enemies with Billy, but he’ll support Sally and Chelsea finding some version of friendship.
After Sally calls Chelsea and asks if they can meet up on Monday’s Y&R episode, Adam will make himself scarce.
Sally will join Chelsea and drop the bridesmaid invitation on her, so Chelsea will accept once she gets over the shock.
As for Adam, Chelsea won’t think he really wants to be at the nuptials anyway.
Back at the athletic club, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will clash with Billy once they cross paths at the bar.
Billy will admit that Sally’s meeting with Chelsea is about asking her to be a bridesmaid.
Billy will make it clear that Adam shouldn’t be at the wedding, but Adam will point out that Chelsea might want him there.
Adam won’t want to cause drama for Sally, but he’ll basically threaten to come just to see what Billy would do.
In the end, Adam will urge Billy to save him a front-row seat just in case, so stay tuned for any wild wedding news that might be ahead!
