The Young and the Restless (Y&R) update for Monday, September 21, says that Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) will get in touch with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk).
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will also react to an invitation that she never saw coming, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
Although Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) won’t be thrilled about the possibility of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) tagging along with Chelsea, he’ll give Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) his approval on making Chelsea a bridesmaid.
Sally will sit down with Chelsea later and catch her off guard with this bridesmaid request.
Once Chelsea gets over the shock and confirms Sally really wants her there, she’ll get on board.
Sally and Chelsea will doubt that Adam wants to sit through Billy’s nuptials.
Even so, Billy will make it clear that Adam’s presence is unwanted during their run-in at the GCAC.
Adam will contend that if Chelsea wants him in attendance, he’s not going to turn her down.
Besides, Adam will seem intrigued over the idea of pushing Billy’s buttons by coming to the event.
If Adam does decide to come, he’ll hope Billy can be mature about it for Sally’s sake.
Adam will also hint that Billy should save him a seat on the front row in case he does decide to show up.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack will pass along some bad news after Detective Burrow calls.
Despite the cops’ best efforts to find Patty, they still won’t have any info on her location.
That’ll frustrate Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), who’ll be just as irritated when Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) arrives with a Vibrante launch date announcement.
Nikki will expect to make a big splash on Valentine’s Day, but Diane will act like she probably won’t have things ready in time.
Diane will also question if Nikki might go after Jabot through Newman Media or make their supply chain take a hit once her back’s against the wall.
Despite Jack’s reassurance later, Diane will still have a bad feeling about Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) involvement and the possibility of a trap.
Once Nikki makes it to the tack house, she’ll catch Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) blushing over texts from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Nikki will worry Victoria is coming down with something since she looks flushed, but Victoria will brush off her concerns.
