The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) love life has been stalled for what feels like forever.
It’s created a lot of frustration on social media, so could a new character entering the mix potentially change everything for Sharon?
According to TV Insider, Fareed Ward has been cast as Dr. Andrew Bishop.
This new doc is Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) and Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) colleague, so it sounds like he’ll be working at Memorial right along with them.
Nate hasn’t officially restarted his medical career at the hospital yet, but that’s coming up soon.
That means there’ll be more medical stories and chances for emergencies that rock Genoa City.
However, Andrew might eventually get a private life to go along with his professional one.
Could Andrew become a love interest for Sharon somewhere down the line?
At this point, many fans are considering just about every new man who arrives in Genoa City as a possibility for Sharon!
It’d be nice to get some good news about Sharon’s romantic future.
There was speculation that Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) might get together with Sharon when the show seemingly tested their chemistry.
Unfortunately, James and Sharon never went the dating route, so Sharon is still stuck with single status.
Although some viewers are holding out hope for a Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) reunion, there always seems to be something standing in the way.
If Y&R’s going to keep dragging their feet on pairing up Nick and Sharon again, they might as well just move on.
At the very least, Sharon needs to have a fun fling with someone new, especially since she’s been trapped in Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) drama for so long.
Nick had a story that involved passion erupting with Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow).
Although that was a messy situation, Joshua Morrow still got a new on-screen love interest and a chance to play something different for a while.
Sharon Case deserves the same, so stay tuned to see if Fareed Ward’s new character might experience some flying sparks with her down the road.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Dr. Andrew Bishop will show up starting this November, so we’ll keep you posted on any story details ahead.
