The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) may finally get what he’s been wishing for.
Ever since Billy Flynn came on board as a recast, Cane has been obsessed with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and his hope of a romantic reunion.
Of course, there have been some bumps in the road, especially after Lily faked her kidnapping along with the twins.
Cane was terrified during all the phony abduction drama, so he was understandably angry with Lily for joining forces with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to dupe him.
However, Cane couldn’t stay mad at Lily or truly kick her out of his life.
Deep down, Cane believes they’re soulmates and will never really stop wanting Lily around.
In Y&R’s April 23 episode, Lily questioned why Cane was being so nice to her, but that should be obvious by now.
Cane adores Lily and can’t stand to see her in pain, so he’s always going to be there when she needs him.
That’s why when Cane found out about Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) bone marrow donor search, he offered to get tested.
Cane knows it’s a longshot, but the soapiest solution is usually the one that works in Genoa City!
There’s a good chance Cane is going to be the life-saving match Malcolm needs, so that news may mark a huge turning point in his relationship with Lily.
Lily’s perspective is already changing when it comes to Cane, but it’s going to change even more if he’s the reason Malcolm survives.
This may be the nudge Lily needs to accept her feelings for Cane and get back together with him.
Cane may start dating Lily again and ultimately hope they’re on the path to remarriage.
There’s nothing Cane would love more than a wedding do-over and the chance to repair his relationship with the twins as well.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily may not be able to fight fate after Cane comes through for Malcolm, so stay tuned to see if a new married chapter is in their future.
