The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that when Holden Novak (last played by Nathan Owens) returns from his London trip, he may be a changed man in more ways than one.
Holden is off spending some time with Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), but things may be a lot different once he’s back in Genoa City.
For starters, all signs point to Holden sporting a different look!
If Curtis Washington is taking over the role as speculated, then he should be the Holden who makes this GC comeback.
With a new actor in the part, that could change the vibe between Holden and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
There’s no guarantee Claire and Holden will have the same chemistry that they had before, so that’s something to keep in mind.
It’s possible that Y&R already has plans to abandon Holden and Claire’s romance.
We could imagine Holden coming home with a new perspective and perhaps getting too pushy about moving this relationship along.
Claire may keep dragging her feet and ultimately make Holden decide that she’s just not that into him.
At this point, Holden may be expecting more of a commitment that Claire’s willing to give.
If that’s the case, Holden might think they should end this before he falls any harder.
Maybe Holden will break up with Claire and seek comfort from someone else.
The show would be smart to test the waters of a Holden and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) pairing once a Holden recast is involved.
Audra could use a love interest after so many months alone, so it’d be worth trying her with this new version of Holden.
As for Claire, she could mope around and get Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) attention again.
Claire might start reconnecting with Kyle a bit as she gets over her split from Holden.
If that’s the case, Kyle and Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) hidden connection could get a lot more complicated!
It’d be a good idea for Y&R to bring Kyle and Claire closer in preparation for the revelation of his big secret.
Regardless, Claire and Holden’s relationship has stalled with Holden off-screen for the moment.
Once Holden is back in recast form, there’s a chance the show might deliver some romantic resets and send them both down different paths.
