The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will be in bad shape after Patty Williams’ (Stacy Haiduk) bold move.
Patty’s impulsive decision could ultimately put Diane in a coma, so let’s discuss all the drama.
Y&R fans watched as Patty slipped in Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) room with the intention of using a syringe full of something deadly.
The goal was to silence Jack forever and make sure he’d never wake up to reveal Patty as his true attacker.
However, it’s Diane who’ll struggle to stay alive instead following a Patty chase and a surprise injection to the neck on the July 9 episode.
The show hasn’t revealed the contents of the syringe yet, but we know Patty intended to kill Jack with it originally.
Now Diane will be at risk of a fatal outcome after getting jabbed, so Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be an emotional wreck as the doctors work to save her.
Fortunately, Diane will be right there in the hospital and can receive urgent treatment.
If this had happened somewhere else, it could’ve been a real death sentence for Diane.
The fact that a medical team will be able to work on Diane right away should help her pull through, but that doesn’t mean she’ll recover immediately.
Patty could at least succeed in putting Diane in a coma – one that could leave Jack worried his true love might never wake up.
Although Jack will be awake and alert in the coming episodes, his family might hide Diane’s ordeal for a bit.
It might be better to let Jack recover a little more before breaking the news of Diane’s horrifying situation and Patty’s role in it.
Of course, Jack may sense that something’s up, especially when Diane doesn’t rush right to his bedside.
It could eventually lead to Jack demanding answers and finding out the awful truth.
Once Jack discovers Diane’s ordeal, he’ll inevitably blame himself for not making sure Patty was truly neutralized.
Jack should’ve known that Patty would go off the rails once he thwarted her scheme, so he’ll wish he could go back in time and stop his own stabbing as well as Diane’s syringe shocker.
Sadly, it’ll be much too late for that. Jack may be relieved to hear that Patty has been arrested, but he’ll still worry about Diane and whether she’s going to make it.
All Jack has wanted for months is to reunite with Diane and get their marriage back on track.
Now Jack may be stuck fretting over comatose Diane and fuming over Patty’s awful destruction.
