The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that two surprising duos could come together for some fun down the road. However, some important romantic developments have to happen before this big night out.
Viewers will recall how Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) tried to close the door on her relationship with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and put some distance between them.
Then, Lily agreed to team up with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) on a fake kidnapping plot that ultimately left Cane furious.
Cane was angry enough to insist he never wanted to see Lily again, but it didn’t take long for him to rethink that plan.
Now Cane realizes he doesn’t want a life without Lily in it and is more willing to understand her perspective.
Cane also wants to be there for Lily when it comes to her new sibling situation and whatever’s going on with Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore).
Although Lily hasn’t opened up to Cane so far, there’ll come a point when she’ll presumably change her mind about that.
Lily may come clean to Cane about Malcolm’s aplastic anemia and how worried she is about him.
There’s also a good chance Cane will turn out to be Malcolm’s surprise bone marrow donor match.
That could be exactly the twist Y&R needs to push Cane and Lily back together.
It probably won’t be long until Lily and Cane are headed down a path to a romantic reunion.
Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) already seems to be on that path with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), who’s growing closer to him despite the Los Angeles secrets he’s still keeping.
Since Holden was so honest and vulnerable about his new family drama, Claire couldn’t help but feel a stronger connection to him.
Although Claire previously thought of Holden as someone to embrace her wild side with, she’s starting to understand that he’s more than that.
Like Cane and Lily, Holden and Claire may be headed for true couple status as well.
Y&R buzz points to a double date happening for these four down the line, so it looks like Claire and Holden may enjoy a night on the town with Lily and Cane at some point.
If this double date moves forward, will it end in disaster or actually have a pleasant outcome?
