The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will make a discovery that’s sure to leave him seeing red!
Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will get caught in a rather scandalous situation together, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
Y&R fans know Matt recently threw tons of compliments at Phyllis and asked her out on a dinner date.
Phyllis seemed quite intrigued over Matt’s kind words and how bold he was about his attraction to her.
Matt acknowledged that not a lot of people “get” him – and he can tell that not a lot of people “get” Phyllis either.
However, Matt thinks they perhaps understand each other in a way that others don’t.
That’s why Matt’s hoping to head down a romantic road with Phyllis, who’ll find herself pulled closer to him in the coming weeks.
However, July preview spoilers indicate that not everyone will be happy about Phyllis and Matt’s budding relationship.
As you might expect, Nick is going to be livid over Matt and Phyllis’ growing connection.
Phyllis and Matt probably won’t go out of their way to flaunt their new romance, but they clearly won’t be too careful about hiding it either.
There’ll be some scene where Nick stumbles upon a moment where Matt and Phyllis look too close for comfort.
It sounds like Nick might spy Phyllis sharing a sizzling kiss with Matt or even making out with him as they enter a suite together.
One way or another, Nick should get the picture when it comes to Phyllis and Matt being well on their way to couple status.
Nick will no doubt blow his top, so he might confront Matt on the spot.
We could imagine Nick decking Matt over this and ordering him to stay away from the mother of his child since Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) surely wouldn’t approve of this match either.
Nick will inevitably rip into Phyllis as well and point out that she knows Matt’s twisted history.
It’ll leave Nick wondering why in the world Phyllis would risk this or even want to date Matt, but Phyllis may insist she knows a different, sweeter version of him.
