The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) is holding a secret – could Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) mom be dying?
The Young and the Restless spoilers for the Friday, July 24 episode hint that Billy and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will soon learn about something Jill is hiding.
All arrows are pointing to the idea that the woman could be dealing with a health decline that offers fatal consequences.
Jill surprised Billy with an unexpected visit weeks ago. She was desperate to resolve the conflict that had plagued their relationship for some time.
Jill was relentless in trying to repair their broken bond, but Billy couldn’t seem to let go of her betrayal of selling Chancellor Industries to Victor Newman (Eric Braen) all those years ago.
Jill blindsided Billy with the decision. After all, he was the sole CEO at the time and thought he could bring the company to new levels.
Plus, it stung that she chose Victor, Billy’s biggest rival, of all people to hand over the Chancellor to.
Since that all unraveled, Billy has developed an unhealthy obsession with regaining control of Chancellor, which has essentially affected his personal life, how he deals with others, and his mental health.
Moreover, selling Chancellor out from under him made Billy feel as if Jill had zero confidence in his abilities.
It also doesn’t help that Jill has always favored Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) and found excuses for his mess-ups.
Even during Cane’s ‘Aristotle Duma’ era – something Jill was fully aware of when others weren’t – Jill was a fan of Cane and the success he was able to achieve.
Cane isn’t even Jill’s biological son, but has always treated him as such and placed him on a pedestal that Billy could never reach.
Still, in the light of Jill’s health issues, and despite the above, Billy has tried to mend fences with Jill, but can’t let go of his resentment when all is said and done.
It’s interesting because during Jill’s visit to Genoa City, Billy had asked how her health was, and she had assured him she was doing better.
Still, a secret isn’t a secret without some lies, so she was probably fluffing things off so as not to worry him.
With that said, could Jill be dying? Will this change anything? With Sally by his side, being the voice of reason, she may be able to help bridge the gap between Billy and his mother.
After all, Billy has turned a new leaf. With their marriage and new baby on the horizon, maybe Sally can get through to Billy?
