The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, April 27, reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will take charge of the situation in Las Vegas with disastrous results – at least for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
The longer Nick goes without drugs, the worse his condition is going to be.
Adam will see the very visible signs of addiction and withdrawal, but they’ll have bigger problems to worry about.
Nick needs to be mentally and physically able to back Adam up as they prepare to ambush Matt Clark (Roger Howarth).
Adam will see that Nick can’t go up against Matt like this, so he’ll give him a nudge to just surrender to the drugs and take what he needs.
Of course, Adam wants Nick to get clean and will surely plan on helping him out with that later.
It’s just that the only solution Adam will see in this moment is for Nick to give his body what it’s demanding.
At Adam’s urging, Nick’s indeed going to dip into the drug baggie stash that he stole from the storage room.
Unfortunately, it won’t have the desired effect since Matt intentionally planted a bad batch knowing that Nick would take it.
Naturally, it won’t really be Adam’s fault that Nick’s health is about to head downhill fast.
Nick bears some responsibility in what he’s putting into his body while Matt is the true baddie since he’s setting him up with poison.
Even so, you can bet Adam will struggle with some guilt once it becomes apparent that the drugs were tainted.
Adam and Nick will make it to the gas station where Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) are being held, but Matt may have cleared out and left them chained alone by then.
Although Nick will want to help free Noah and Sharon, he’ll keel over and may ultimately lose consciousness.
Adam, Noah and Sharon will all freak out once Nick’s in crisis mode, but Matt will be a happy camper due to the camera feed he’ll be observing on.
Back in Genoa City, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have to decide whether she’s really willing to risk landing in prison.
Despite telling Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) that she was calling his bluff, will Phyllis reconsider his transfer deadline?
Phyllis has already been starting to realize that keeping the Newman empire could mean losing her kids forever.
Between that and the threat of prison over the fabricated evidence, Phyllis may give the idea of surrendering a little more thought.
That said, Y&R fans know it’s not usually in Phyllis’ nature to give up, so it’s equally possible she’ll gamble with her freedom and potentially lose!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will be facing some difficult choices, so stick with us for more news on what’s ahead.
