The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, June 1, reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will finish his latest confrontation with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) at the Newman ranch.
Part of Nick would love to just end Matt for good, but another part of him knows it wouldn’t be satisfying since Matt doesn’t even remember his crimes.
That doesn’t mean Matt’s victims can ever forget what he’s done, but Nick can’t kill Matt when he’s in this amnesiac state.
Nick will ultimately let Matt live and walk away from him, so we’ll see what Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) decides to do next.
Since Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) is due back on-screen any day now, he should play a role in Matt’s drama soon enough.
As for Nick, Y&R spoilers say he’ll finally begin rehab since it’s obvious how badly he needs it.
After Nick’s latest overdose, his loved ones will try to keep a closer eye on him and make sure he actually gets some professional help this time.
Nick will indeed kick off his rehab stint and start trying to get his life together, but the road ahead won’t be easy.
Despite Nick’s best efforts to focus on a brighter future, there are going to be some setbacks along the way.
In other words, Nick’s drug use isn’t over yet.
There’ll still be times when Nick surrenders to temptation and puts his own life in jeopardy once again.
There’ll even be instances where Nick’s actions perhaps put the people he cares about at risk.
Anything can happen once the next drug-related disaster plays out, but Nick will at least try to concentrate on rehab for a while.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will all hope that rehab works, but they’ll remain worried about Nick as he struggles.
