Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) had a good thing going with Nate until she ruined it with all her schemes and lies.
Although Audra tried to get Nate back, their relationship was broken beyond repair in his eyes.
More recently, Nate started growing closer to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) again.
Sparks were definitely starting to fly, but then all the fake Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) kidnapping chaos went down.
That whole situation seemed to pump the brakes on any Victoria and Nate reunion that might’ve been in the works.
Nate is seemingly single and ready to mingle now, so who’s his next love interest going to be?
On social media, some fans have been suggesting that Nate and Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) might be an intriguing romantic duo.
There’d be a bit of an age gap, but it wouldn’t be any different than Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) dating Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) or Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) history of dating somewhat older men.
Stephanie and Nate were great scene partners when they shared a meal shortly after she returned to town.
Nate and Stephanie formed an easy bond that could easily grow into something more than friendship if that’s where Y&R wants to take them.
It might be a little awkward since Stephanie is friends with Nate’s mother, Olivia Winters (Tonya Lee Williams), but that’s no big deal since Olivia isn’t on canvas.
Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) surely wouldn’t be happy about Nate dating his mom, but that’s exactly the kind of thing that would bring soapy drama!
The news could reignite the tension between Nate and Holden with Stephanie caught in the middle of it all.
Stephanie is sticking around beyond this story arc involving Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), so she may need another love interest at some point.
Even if Nate and Stephanie just shared a kiss or a one-night stand, it might be interesting to explore them on some romantic level.
