The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that new details are emerging about Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and the health drama she’s facing.
Y&R fans know Nikki’s been dealing with some awful headaches, but she’s been downplaying them and refusing to see a doctor.
That’ll change during the week of June 8-12 since another symptom will emerge that Nikki can’t ignore.
In addition to persistent and excruciating migraines, Nikki will ultimately suffer a change in vision.
That’ll be a wakeup call for Nikki and let her know something might be truly wrong.
Nikki dismissed the idea when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) suggested this could be serious, but she’ll now realize it’s time for a doctor to weigh in.
It looks like Nikki will get her official diagnosis on Friday, June 12.
Melody Thomas Scott opened up to TV Guide about the shocker that’s headed Nikki’s way and how she’ll react to this horrible news.
“Nikki’s world is rocked when she receives her diagnosis, because not only is it life-threatening, {but it also] requires immediate medical attention.
Time is not on her side, and she is forced to make some major decisions,” Scott teased.
Since Nikki and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) marriage has fallen apart, she’ll be reluctant to divulge anything about what she’s up against.
Nikki won’t want Victor reuniting with her out of pity or because he feels obligated to take care of her.
As a result, Nikki may keep Victor at a distance and try to handle this without him.
Scott confirmed that Nikki’s diagnosis will lead to her “taking some dangerous risks” and promised that “Nikki is in for quite a ride this summer…”
Will Nikki learn she has a brain tumor or some other issue related to her brain?
How long will it take Victor to realize something’s off and discover what Nikki’s keeping from him?
Regardless, this should be what brings Nikki and Victor together in the end.
Victor would never abandon Nikki if he knew something like this was going on, so he’s going to be just as devastated once he finds out.
