The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will pull out all her hottest moves to ensure Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) doesn’t leave Genoa City.
The man declared his exit during the Friday, July 17 episode after a major confrontation.
Matt got bombarded by Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) for having a conversation with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun)
Matt was simply apologizing to his ex-wife and telling her she deserved a good man at the Shadow Room when Noah stormed in and lost his mind on him.
This is when Matt had a meltdown himself, in front of the four of them.
Matt realized that anything he does will always be misconstrued, so he made a split-second decision to leave GC for good and start a new life somewhere else.
While no one in town would really care if Matt left, two people have very different reasons for wanting him to stay.
For one, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) made a deal with Matt to keep him out of prison if he got the goods on Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), which Matt has yet to do.
More importantly, Matt and Phyllis are on the cusp of a fun romance, so there’s no way she’ll want him to leave.
In fact, Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Phyllis may pull out all the stops to ensure Matt doesn’t go anywhere.
Will the two hit the sheets? Y&R previews seem to hint so. Matt and Phyllis will be up in her GCAC room at some point this week, and she’ll be wearing a slinky blue bedwear number.
She’s leaned into him ever so slightly, with her bed in the background, so fans know where this is going.
Phyllis is the ultimate seductress in Genoa City, so she’ll know exactly what buttons to push, so to speak, to get Matt to rethink his exit.
Plus, as the resident town pariah, Phyllis will vow to stick by Matt’s side if he decides to stay.
She knows Matt has done some terrible things in the past, but also believes he’s changed.
Phyllis may remind Matt that she’s an outcast too, so maybe they can be GC outcasts, together?
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate Phyllis can be mighty convincing when she wants to be, so will Matt listen to her reasoning and enjoy some sizzling action with her, to boot?
