The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that the show could be setting the stage for another Spectra family reunion. Could Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) marriage and new baby bring her mother back into her life?
Sally has already been catching up with her sister, Coco Spectra (Ashley Campbell), and will reunite with “Grams” aka Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo) following her surprise wedding arrival, too.
Perhaps Sally’s mom could also make a shocking appearance somewhere down the line.
Sally has been pushing Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to reconnect with Jill Abbott (last played by Lauren Koslow), so Y&R may force her to face a similar situation and reconnect with her own messy mother.
In Y&R’s October 15 episode, there was some talk about Sally and Coco’s complicated upbringing.
Since Coco and Sally’s parents were carnival workers, they all spent a lot of time on the road.
It was tough on Sally and Coco since they didn’t have the stability they needed.
Coco and Sally couldn’t count on their mom and dad, so they had to count on each other.
Of course, Shirley ultimately stepped up to provide the support the Spectra sisters needed.
Sally has mentioned her parents spending time in prison before, so it’s obvious there’s a lot of baggage here.
The show has the perfect opportunity to explore Sally’s feelings by eventually bringing her mom on canvas.
It’s possible Sally’s dad could come back around as well, but let’s focus on her mother specifically for this potential storyline.
Sally’s mom might hear about Sally marrying into the wealthy Abbott family and come to town with ulterior motives.
We could imagine Sally’s mother claiming she wants to be in Sally’s life and meet her new grandbaby, but she might secretly be after some Abbott money.
When that plan doesn’t pan out, Sally’s mom might use her gold-digging talents on the Newmans and perhaps try to seduce Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
There’s no guarantee Sally’s mom will enter the picture, but it’d be fun if she did!
Maybe Gina Tognoni (ex-Phyllis Summers) could even come back as a new character and play Sally’s mother this time around!
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally could have some family problems ahead of her, so stay tuned for any troubling news to come.
