The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, April 23, reveal that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will go for a risky drive with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) does something important for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and hopefully Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore), too.
For starters, it looks like Cane will stumble upon a conversation between Lily and Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox). That could give Cane an opportunity to overhear the details of Malcolm’s illness and the dilemma he’s now facing.
Cane may find out that Malcolm needs a bone marrow donor match due to the aplastic anemia he’s facing.
Lily wasn’t a viable candidate to donate, so that news already left her heartbroken.
Unfortunately, now Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and the twins have been ruled out through their test results, so Lily will fret over how long locating an unrelated donor might take.
Once Cane presses Lily for all the available information, he’s going to step up for her big time on Thursday’s episode.
Cane will deliver a grand gesture as part of his plan to help, so he might use whatever money and connections he has left for a donor hunt.
Of course, Cane might also volunteer to get tested himself, so could that lead to him being a surprise donor match for Malcolm in the end?
Over with Holden, he’ll continue to turn to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) for support now that he’s dealing with all this overwhelming family drama.
At some point, Stephanie will apparently pop up as Claire and Holden are talking, so that’ll give her a chance to meet Claire and get a first impression.
Things may get awkward if Stephanie suggests she already likes Claire a thousand times more than Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver)!
In Las Vegas, Nick will remain agitated and out of control due to all the drugs he’s taking.
Y&R fans will recall that Nick pocketed some extra bags from the storage closet he was stuck in, so now he’s got an even bigger stash.
Adam will remain suspicious of Nick’s mood swings and risky decisions.
Nick is on the verge of taking another gamble when he gets in the driver’s seat while under the influence of drugs.
That’ll leave Adam on edge in the passenger side, but Nick will be determined to track Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) down and stop him permanently.
Since Matt is luring Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) into a trap, Nick may catch on eventually and have another reason to drive like a maniac to find them.
