The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, August 20, reveals that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will order up a scandalous-sounding cocktail and get the attention of a handsome bartender, so let’s talk about her girls’ night out.
At The Shadow Room, Traci will join Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) and Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) as they sample the new cocktail menu for Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).
That’ll bring some funny stories about the past as well as some talk about Nina’s current love life since she met someone in a grief support group.
Traci will also talk about her cathartic conversation with Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) and how she’s realized that what happened wasn’t her fault.
There’ll be a “silver fox” bartender working when Traci orders a cocktail called “The One-Night Stand,” so that’ll bring some giggles amongst the ladies.
Traci will eventually admit she got the silver fox’s number and will make plans to enjoy another girls’ night soon.
At Society, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will summon Devon Winters (Bryton James), so he’ll join her along with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) for a discussion about the latest Chancellor crisis.
Devon will think Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) would honor the agreement and surrender Chancellor to the Abbotts, but Lily will think she’d fight for it instead.
Cane will suspect Devon would feel differently if he weren’t the one running the company.
Lily will agree Devon is making this about Cane instead of focusing on Chancellor itself, but Devon will argue that she needs to focus on running Winters anyway.
After Lily shares how disappointed she is in Devon’s view of the situation, he’ll take off.
Lily will end up mulling over the loan amount and call Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) since she’ll have a proposition for him.
At Crimson Lights, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will wrap up a conversation with someone right as Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) appears.
Chelsea will quiz Adam, who’ll admit he got a tip about the Abbotts seemingly owning Chancellor in a big twist.
Adam won’t have all the details, but he’ll think this could be a huge scoop for Newman Media.
Chelsea will assume Billy’s going to give the story to Spectra-Charles, but Adam will recruit Chelsea to quiz Billy and try to get info from him first.
Chelsea will make Adam promise to keep the story positive if this all works out, so he’ll give her his word on Thursday’s Y&R episode.
That’ll lead to a flirty conversation as Chelsea considers putting Adam in “romance jail” if he betrays her.
Adam won’t think Chelsea can deny herself romantic privileges any more than she can deny him, so they’ll share a kiss and some cute scenes.
At the GCAC, Billy will see that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is back from her trip early and will welcome her home.
Sally will immediately be curious about the reason for Billy and Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) apparent celebration.
Audra will leave them to talk alone, so Billy will admit he has great news and will spill the whole Chancellor ownership story to Sally.
Billy will slam Jill Abbott (last played by Lauren Koslow) for burying the loan situation and will assure Sally that everything is legit.
Sally will still be uneasy over Billy’s Chancellor fixation, but he’ll feel like this is different and suggest it’s like divine intervention.
Billy will acknowledge that the rest of the Abbott clan isn’t supportive, but he’ll be glad to have the truth on his side.
