The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, July 30, reveals that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) will be forced to make quick getaway from Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) penthouse while Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) hit the sheets across town.
At the GCAC, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will walk in and nearly walk out again once he spots Phyllis, who’ll push for reconciliation.
After Phyllis points out she saved Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) life and got a company from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), it still won’t be enough to earn Daniel’s forgiveness.
Matt will come along next, so he’ll share a toast with Phyllis and acknowledge that there’s something between them.
That’s why Matt will want to stay by Phyllis’ side instead of leaving Genoa City.
Phyllis will get her hands on some tools and work together with Matt to get his ankle monitor off in her suite.
Matt will decide to plant that ankle monitor in his room at the ranch to throw Victor off the trail and buy some time.
While Cany and Lily are still under a blanket on her sofa, she’ll get a call from Devon Winters (Bryton James).
Devon will admit he wants to talk through some things with Lily and will ask if he can come over.
Lily will sense that Devon isn’t doing well and will agree to the visit, so Cane will realize he’d better get dressed and leave in a hurry.
Cane will indeed make a fast exit from Lily’s penthouse, but he’ll hope for more nights like this one.
In the GCAC lobby, Cane will bump into Matt and put him through a grilling session.
Matt will come clean about his Kansas farm story being a lie and will insist Cane is off the hook since he’s not on a mission for Victor anymore.
Back up in her suite, Phyllis will leave Matt a voicemail and worry since he’s taking so long.
Just when Phyllis fears Matt has fallen into a Newman trap, he’ll finally pop back up.
Phyllis will push Matt to accept the job at Arabesque and let her take care of him.
Matt will want to return the favor, so he’ll strip down with Phyllis before they land in bed together.
At The Shadow Room, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) will open up to Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) about seeing good in Matt again and thinking he’s changed.
Although it’d be easier to keep hating Matt, Sienna will be struggling with sweet memories of him now and will think his current transformation seems genuine.
Noah still won’t trust Matt and will be determined to drive him out of town, especially since Victor and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) have a lot going on.
It’ll leave Noah feeling like he needs to take on this responsibility, but Sienna will have concerns.
At Society again, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway) will meet up with Devon and push for a date night, but he’ll admit he already has plans to go talk with Lily.
Although Abby will be upset over Devon being able to confide in Lily and not his own wife, she’ll try to give him space in the end.
Daniel will appear and notice Abby’s upset, so she’ll talk about Devon struggling and shutting her out.
After Daniel suggests a distraction, he’ll ask Abby to come to The Shadow Room with him.
Abby won’t really be in the mood for the club scene, but Daniel will joke about Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) calling him “basic” earlier.
Daniel will once again push Abby to hit the club and help him break out of his rut.
At Lily’s place on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Devon will arrive and see that she’s had company.
Lily will admit Cane was there, so Devon will go off on one of his usual tirades about her ex-husband.
After Lily shuts Devon down, he’ll apologize and acknowledge that he’s not himself these days.
Devon will know he’s been a jerk and will feel lost, so he’ll talk about the entitlement of having money and the person he’s become.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon has more struggles ahead of him, so stay tuned for any difficult news to come.
