The Young and the Restless Tuesday, May 12 Recap: Matt & Patty’s New Alliance, Lily Threatens Phyllis

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Tuesday, May 12, reveals that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) and Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will make an intriguing connection while Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) gets in Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) face with a warning.

On Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) train, Lily will bring him cookies to thank him for being Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) bone marrow donor.

There’ll be some talk about Cane having his procedure in Genoa City now that Lily’s calmed down and realized she was being irrational about the New York trip.

Cane will acknowledge that the situations with the fabricated emails is bad, but he was ready to sign Newman back over to Victor until Phyllis derailed the deal.

Next on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) will stop by and discuss Malcolm with Cane while Lily corners Phyllis in her office.

Lily will warn that Phyllis had better make it clear to the DA that Cane isn’t responsible for the Newman takeover.

Lily will feel confident Phyllis is going down for her crimes, but she’ll refuse to let Phyllis bring Cane down with her.

Phyllis will maintain that the evidence is fabricated and wonder what Lily intends to do if she doesn’t obey orders.

Lily will threaten to singlehandedly dismantle Phyllis and channel all the hatred that her mom, Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell), had for her.

Phyllis won’t seem worried, but Lily will won’t think Phyllis wants her as an enemy.

At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will bump into Patty and push her to get out of town if she wants to avoid more humiliation.

Nevertheless, Patty will plan on finding a way to deal with Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and will feel confident Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will see she’s changed along with others in Genoa City.

At Society, Diane will gush over Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) ring and the baby that’s on the way.

After Diane insists she’s in Sally’s corner when it comes to the Abbotts, Sally will acknowledge the awkwardness since Diane is separated from Jack.

Diane won’t know how to get past the pain and anger she’s still struggling with.

Sally will wonder if this mess has stirred up feelings of unworthiness for Diane, who’ll get a bit offended.

Sally will smooth things over by explaining that due to her own past, she’s sometimes struggled to feel like she deserves good things.

Diane won’t know how similar their situations really are, but she’ll appreciate Sally trying to support her.

Once Billy comes along, he’ll share disturbing news about his last interaction with Patty.

Sally will worry about Patty being dangerous, so Billy will back her up on that and act like Diane should be afraid.

Billy will also question whether Diane really wants to let Patty win and will try to give her a nudge to get past her issues with Jack.

At the GCAC, Jack will be down in the dumps until Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) pops up and joins him.

After Jack grumbles about his marriage problems, he’ll seem doubtful that Diane will ever be glad to see him again.

Nikki will insist she’s always happy to see Jack and will comfort him as he continues to deal with all the Diane drama.

Once Nikki brings up Matt being like a cockroach that keeps coming back, she’ll hold out hope that she can fix things with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Jack won’t like Nikki always having to be the one who caves and will think maybe she should just embrace a new era for herself.

Once Jack reaches across the table to touch Nikki in a tender moment, Diane will walk in and looked upset over witnessing it.

Back with Patty, she’ll run into Matt at the coffeehouse. Since Patty won’t recognize Matt, he’ll wonder if the name “Matt Clark” means anything to her.

Patty will think that sounds like an all-American homecoming king and will introduce herself to Matt soon after.

Matt will think Patty’s name sounds like a homecoming queen, so she’ll wonder if this act is some sort of cheesy pickup thing.

However, Matt will explain that he was in “an accident or something” and doesn’t remember anything before he wound up a Vegas diner.

Since Matt had a keycard for the Genoa City Athletic Club in his pocket, he came to GC looking for answers.

Matt will realize people seem to think he did bad things and will be hoping to fill in the blanks regarding his past.

Patty will seem a little mischievous as she suggests maybe they could help each other.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Matt and Patty’s alliance could lead to major trouble, so don’t miss all the action!
