The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) recently decided to grant Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) wish and give her the Venice trip she’s dreaming of.
After all the blindness struggles that Nikki’s endured, no one deserves a relaxing vacation more than her.
However, Y&R might have more of a purpose behind this trip in the end.
What if Nikki and Victor’s upcoming time in Italy is about more than just reconnecting and recharging?
It’s true that Victor and Nikki need a chance to celebrate their romantic reunion.
Following Nikki and Victor’s vow renewal on August 5, this Venice vacation can serve as another honeymoon and help them stay on the right path.
That said, even if this trip happens entirely off-screen, it could come with a twist.
We should consider a potential clue from the dialogue in the August 4 episode.
Since Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) lives in Milan, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) suggested Nikki and Victor should try to see her while they’re in Italy.
Nikki indeed seemed hopeful that Summer might come join them in Venice for a bit.
With that in mind, maybe Victor and Nikki’s choice of destination could be more important than it seems.
What if Nikki and Victor’s trip actually winds up being the catalyst that brings Summer back to Genoa City?
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) doesn’t want Summer worrying about him, but Victor and Nikki might spill all the latest details on his ordeal anyway and leave Summer feeling like she’s needed in GC.
That’s especially true now that Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) is leaving town with Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun).
Perhaps this could be Summer’s cue to head back home in Noah’s place and give Nick more family support.
Of course, it’s also possible Summer could confess that Marchetti isn’t doing well or that she’s going through a bad breakup.
We could imagine Summer crying to Victor and Nikki before they offer her a fresh start in GC – including a shiny new job.
Regardless, by the time Nikki and Victor resurface, they could either bring Summer with them or at least offer news on her upcoming return home.
Nikki and Victor might set the stage for Summer to make a comeback in some form, so that’s an option to consider.
Assuming that this Venice trip moves forward, The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that a surprise or two could be in store for Victor and Nikki, so stick with the CBS soap.
