The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, August 26, reveals that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will realize they’re being kept in the dark on something.
Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) will also seek Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) help to score some drugs at their rehab facility.
At the clinic, Nick will share an emotional visit with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who’ll insist he’s proud of his son and will promise they’ll get through this together.
Nick will eventually spill the story of what happened with Marie and admit they’ve bonded, so Victor will worry about her being a threat to his sobriety.
However, Nick will make it clear that he’s responsible for his own choices and that Marie isn’t going to drag him down.
Once Victor leaves, Y&R spoilers say Marie will find Nick doing a puzzle again.
After Marie admits her husband filed for divorce, she’ll go on a tirade and want Nick to help her find any drugs that might’ve been confiscated.
Marie will know there must be some on the premises and will rattle off a list of places they might be.
Although Nick will understand why Marie is tempted, he’ll refuse to do anything that could jeopardize his own recovery since he has to get home to his family.
Nick obviously won’t think Marie needs to head back down this drug road either, but she’ll be upset over not having a life to get back to.
At Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) penthouse, Jack will refuse to accept her offer to pay back the loan with interest.
Jack will urge Lily to figure things out with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) instead and wonder if letting him have this win would really be the end of the world.
After Lily calls Billy, she’ll ask him to come over for a meeting without getting lawyers involved.
When Billy arrives to find Lily with her putter in the living room, he’ll assume she’s trying to remind him of better days when they were working together.
Once Billy and Lily bicker a bit more, she’ll finally push him to convince her that he’s the best person to run Chancellor.
Lily will suggest she’s willing to give the company to Billy if he can do that, but she’ll warn that it won’t be an easy task.
At Jabot, Kyle and Victoria will have a flirty conversation as they work out the details of the Jabot-Vibrante competition.
Although Kyle won’t have Jack’s approval yet, he’ll point out that he doesn’t want to bother his parents with business ahead of their romantic getaway.
When Jack and Diane arrive to find Victoria with Kyle, they’ll be curious about their meeting.
Kyle will insist Diane and Jack can find out what’s going on when they get back from their trip, so they’ll leave without getting the latest news.
Jack and Diane will head to the park café, where they’ll remain curious about whatever Kyle and Victoria are cooking up.
Diane definitely won’t trust Victoria, so she’ll be on edge.
Back with Kyle, he’ll pour some drinks so that he can share a toast with Victoria.
It’ll be obvious that Victoria and Kyle are growing closer by the second!
