The Young and the Restless (Y&R) preview video for the week of August 17-21 reveals that a blast-from-the-past character will make a big comeback.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will also prepare for a procedure that could change his life and lead to him restarting his medical career, so here’s what fans can look forward to.
Y&R’s weekly promo kicks off with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), who spots Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and asks what “amazing thing” he’s celebrating.
Billy will invite Audra to join him at the GCAC bar so he can fill her in.
That’ll lead to Audra getting the news that the Abbotts own Chancellor and that Billy is taking over the company.
Audra may warn that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) isn’t going to like this, but Billy will feel confident that he can get her on his side.
Next, Nate will consult with the orthopedic surgeon that Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) recommended and gush with excitement.
If the surgery to repair Nate’s hand is successful, he could return to operating.
Stephanie will hope Nate is able to get back in the OR and wow the world with his talent once again.
Nate will hope for that outcome as well since he’s ready to get his medical career back on track.
The show’s weekly preview video also features Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) speaking with Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) at The Shadow Room, where Christine acknowledges that the Abbotts have been going through a lot in their household.
After Traci points out that’s another reason why she needs a nice night out, someone familiar will pop up and agree with her.
“You and me both!” Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) says as she suddenly appears and hugs Traci in the preview clip.
Tricia Cast will reprise her role as Nina just in time for Danny Romalotti’s (Michael Damian) upcoming performance since he’s got a new love song to share.
Nina will catch up with Traci, Christine, Danny and perhaps some other GC residents while she’s in town.
