The Young and the Restless (Y&R) update for the week of August 24-28 indicates that Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will make a shocking comeback.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also move forward with a vengeful plot, but Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) just might deliver the most drama of all with their next blunder!
At the clinic, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be pleased after Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) officially checks herself in.
Marie will give rehab another shot and appreciate Nick’s support as she fights to stay clean this time.
Of course, Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) priority will be making sure Nick overcomes his own addiction crisis.
Although Nikki will want Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to help, Victor will take a bold stand against that plan.
Victor will also do some scheming since it looks like he’ll arrange for Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to be arrested and taken to the same psychiatric facility where Patty is being held until her trial.
Patty is facing maximum-security measures, but she’s a crafty character who seems poised to escape soon.
Once Matt lands there and catches up with Patty, will they work on a getaway plot together?
Whatever the case, Y&R spoilers say Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will lose it when she can’t find Matt anywhere.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will face Phyllis’ outburst before she turns to Victor, who’ll keep things cryptic.
Over with Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters), she’ll question Kyle after he agrees to Victoria’s business pitch.
Diane will be confused over this news and may wonder why Kyle’s so eager to work with Victoria.
Kyle and Victoria will wind up making out at Jabot when no one else is watching.
It appears Victoria and Kyle will start undressing next, but will they come to their senses before they take that step or go all the way?
Regardless, Victoria and Kyle are making a mistake by heading down this road.
It could lead to more sizzling encounters as well as Victor’s fury and Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) pain since she’s bound to feel betrayed.
As for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), she’ll be pleased when Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) decides to support his sister instead of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) in the battle for Chancellor Industries.
Although Lily will hold out hope that Jack will let her pay off the loan, that may be wishful thinking.
Jack knows it would mean alienating Billy, who might never speak to his brother again if Jack knocked him out of this Chancellor opportunity.
Back with Nick, he’ll have some family visits. After Nikki comes to see Nick, it’ll be Victor’s turn next.
Victor will listen as Nick describes what his addiction is like and will promise his son that he’s going to make it through this.
The week will wrap up with the start of Jack and Diane’s romantic vacation, which could turn into the perfect chance for an escaped Patty to strike!
