Talking Dead returns this evening with special guests Robert Kirkman, Lauren Cohan, & a Mystery Walking Dead Cast Member. Did you watch last week’s episode of Talking Dead? Talking Dead features host Chris Hardwick who also hosted Talking Bad. Chris will spend time with fans, actors, producers and tv enthusiasts, recapping tonight’s The Walking Dead episode, and taking questions and comments from viewers. This week on Talking Dead joining Chris are Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and actress Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie Green on The Walking Dead. There will also be a mystery Walking Dead cast member appearing and we are guessing that it will be a character that will be killed on tonight’s show. Tonight’s guests will discuss the evening’s proceedings and take your questions live.

RECAP: Joining Chris Hardwick is Robert Kirkman, Lauren Cohan and Scott Wilson. Chris tells Scott he’s sorry he died tonight; Scott says that after the fifth episode he found out that he was going to die. Scott said that they were making a big mistake but it’s there’s to make and won’t fight on it; Scott says it might have been a hard choice having to decide to make. Lauren says that it’s funny because of how Scott knew he was going to die; but found it such a horrible moment that was so sad. Chris says that it’s like they keep losing the people with the most morals; with how Hershel kept everyone together and strong. Chris asks why Hershel smiled before he died; Scott says it’s because of how he had many conversations with people as if being a councilor who tried to help everyone. When he heard Rick start being the same at the end trying to have everyone live together was something that Hershel was very fond of and was happy to see him change so much. Lauren says that it took one take to do the scene with how they cried seeing Hershel die like that was very natural and easy to feel sad about his death; but it felt exactly how the portrayed and it was hard having to lose Scott. Lauren says when they shot the third episode was thirst time her father came to see her on set; Lauren is getting very emotional and has tears.
We now get a complication of the other actors on the show saying how they appreciate and will dearly miss Scott Wilson as he leaves the show. Chris asks what Scott will miss so much from the show; Scott says hopping around on one leg. He then says that it was such an amazing experience and will miss all the people that he has got the chance to meet. Robert Kirkman then mentions how they were close to killing Hershel in season 2 and 3 but this time it was so hard; Robert feels that killing people off the Walking Dead in his comics was no big deal but on this show is so hard. He is really sad that they are losing Scott Wilson; Scott says that he knew it was going to happen anytime soon. Lauren says the show makes you so present as a human because of how it really is so real with how attached with the characters; seeing them die is a real lost. Scott says he was so happy seeing Chandler who played Carl grow up on the set; he is so surprised with how old he’s got. Chris says the whole group is scattered and wonders why this happened; Lauren says there was probably a plan to where they would meet up after. Chris says a lot of people died but why did they have to decapitate Hershel? Robert says the more a character is cherished and loved then they should be given an important death; he believes they want it to be just as memorable as the character was.
A fan comes up and asks who decided to kill the Governor; in the comic Robert wanted it to not be anything satisfying at all but wanted it to be someone unknown. But this time in the writers room they decided to have his fight with Rick, a Michonne stab and Lily finishing him up. Chris asks what David Morrisey brought to The Governor; Rick says that David brought so much humanity to the role and even though he was so evil he made it a character who should have been unrealistic to be so believable. Chris then asks why The Governor wants the prison when he said it wasn’t safe last season; Robert said it became safer over time.
Chris asks if Lauren saw the fight in person; she said it was like a real fight between men and that they really went at each other. Scott says he loved how the scene was stage with the tank and trucks at the bottom of the hill behind the fence; with Rick walking down with a pistol. Chris asks what they did on Scott’s last day; Lauren says everyone wore suspenders in honor of Scott’s character Hershel. Scott says that he never received such a great public response before; he’s been in great films but nothing like this before and it has been a pleasure. Lauren mentions the Scott’s mother is still alive and is 99; they met her and they all sat down at a family dinner and saw Scott’s screen test to “In Cold Blood”.
A Fan comes up from the audience and asks why Maggie’s reaction to Daryl’s was so different; Lauren says that she doesn’t need to make Rick feel guilty about his choice. Chris then asks what Hershel would have done about Carol; Scott says that he thinks that Hershel did find out. Scott says it probably knocked the wind out of him; because he would have never expected it from Carol.
