The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) reunion will ultimately implode. There’s a good chance Phyllis will be to blame, so it’s time to start thinking about how she might ruin it.
Y&R fans know Phyllis sniffed around Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) for a while. Phyllis was certainly interested in finding out Chance and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) secret, but there seemed to be more to it than that.
In fact, The Young and the Restless has teased the possibility of a Chance and Phyllis pairing since Donny Boaz debuted as a recast.
Chance is physically a good match for Phyllis – a tall, strong hunk for Phyllis, who’s pretty tall herself. There’s definitely some onscreen chemistry between Stafford and Boaz, which is no surprise since Boaz tested with both Stafford and Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman). That’s another hint that a Chance and Phyllis romance may be the plan eventually.
Phyllis is someone who appreciates flirty banter, which Chance enjoys as well. Of course, they’re flinging insults in most of their conversations these days, but that’s fun, too! Chance and Phyllis definitely don’t like each other at this point, which is exactly why Y&R should put them together.
There’s a thin line between love and hate on a soap. It’s awfully easy for two characters to let anger and loathing fuel their passion.
Will temptation strike for Chance and Phyllis down the road? Since Phyllis and Nick’s reboot won’t last indefinitely, Y&R will need another option for Phyllis once things blow up.
Chance is the best candidate on canvas, especially since Abby and Chance’s relationship is rather ho-hum. Where’s the drama? Maybe it’d be better to just let Abby move on with someone else, too.
If Phyllis and Chance end up cheating, that could destroy both their relationships. It’d end Phyllis’ romance with Nick and Abby’s romance with Chance in one fell swoop.
Chance and Phyllis could get trapped together – perhaps in a storm since that’s kind of Y&R’s thing now. They might try to keep a hot hookup a secret in the aftermath and fail miserably.
Then again, Phyllis and Chance could cross paths after fights with their significant others. If Abby and Nick lash out at Chance and Phyllis, it could create another kind of storm – the perfect cheating storm!
