Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that one popular DOOL star is finally back on set. Most fans have probably heard by now that Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez DiMera) is returning to Days of Our Lives.
However, it seems like there’s been some confusion and concern since Banus hasn’t been posting any behind-the-scenes content. There was a good reason for that, so we’ll explain what’s going on.
When Banus left the show, she did it not knowing the film and television industry would shut down. Banus was ready to pursue other projects, so back then Days writers didn’t know she’d be returning – and neither did Banus until not too long ago.
As a result, the writers just kept right on writing! They stockpiled scripts that didn’t include Gabi – scripts that still had to be filmed once the show resumed production. In other words, Banus wasn’t needed on set until now because she wasn’t part of those episodes.
It took some time to work Gabi back into the show, but Days has apparently filmed all those scripts and has written Gabi back in. Banus posted a little boomerang video in her latest Instagram story to confirm she’s finally on set again. “BACK TO BUSINESS,” Banus said in her caption.
The clip featured Banus wearing a hot pink jumpsuit in her dressing room. Banus looks fabulous and ready to roll, so this is exciting news. As for what will happen when Gabi escapes the deadly threat her family’s facing, she won’t just jump back into the life she wants.
Gabi will encounter the same old issues if she tries to go after DiMera Enterprises – and some brand-new problems will come along regarding her future with Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) honestly seems a bit thirsty for Jake, so she may end up doing more than just keeping an eye on him.
There’s also Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) new plan to consider. Gwen just got an idea about how to stir up trouble – and it involves Jake and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). There’ll be more obstacles than ever standing in Gabi and Jake’s way, but just be patient! It’s all about the complicated journey, so this should be fun to watch.
