The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, April 22, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will resolve the matter of Patty Williams’ (Stacy Haiduk) payment while Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) makes a tempting offer to Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell).
At the GCAC, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will assume she already knows Victor’s plan now that Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) employees are quitting in droves.
Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will insist that’s only part one of Victor’s scheme, which also involves manufacturing evidence through Chancellor that could put Phyllis in prison.
Lauren will refuse to walk away from Phyllis, so Michael will stand with her and insist they have to convince Phyllis to surrender before it’s too late.
This could be Phyllis’ last chance to save her reputation and freedom.
Meanwhile, Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will be annoyed over another gift delivery from Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who’ll send her an expensive ring that used to belong to Josephine Baker along with a heartfelt letter.
After Diane heads downstairs, Y&R spoilers say she’ll have another Patty run-in.
Patty will act like she’s destined to land back in Jack’s bed and will suggest Diane’s going to be the dangerous one once her life fully crumbles.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will take off when Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) arrives to check on Jack.
Jack will worry that his marriage is over and will lean on Nikki before offering her some breakfast.
Right as Jack is cheerfully bringing Nikki a plate of her favorite scones, Diane will enter and comment on the cozy moment.
Diane will accuse Nikki of being happy about their marriage problems since she never thought Diane was good enough for Jack.
Diane will also lash out at Jack for thinking he can use expensive jewelry to bribe her, but Jack will contend that the gift was sincere.
Jack will hold out hope for forgiveness, but Diane will return the present and walk out on him once again.
That’ll leave Jack and Nikki to revisit their conversation about desperate times and the nuclear option, so they may use their bond to stir up more of Diane and Victor’s jealousy soon.
At Society, Phyllis and Victoria will push each other’s buttons before Christine arrives for a meeting with Victoria.
That’ll leave Phyllis curious about what Victoria and Christine are up to despite her efforts to pretend she’s not interested.
Kyle will show up and notice Phyllis seems unhappy, so he’ll comment on that when he stops by the bar where Christine and Victoria are talking.
As for Victoria, she’ll privately give Christine a push toward becoming the DA once more.
Victoria will hint about being privy to some information that Christine might find very interesting if she stepped back in as DA.
When Christine asks what kind of information, Victoria will suggest it’s news that would take Phyllis down for good.
Once Phyllis heads to the athletic club, she’ll have an infuriating encounter with Patty.
Phyllis will wonder how Patty convinced anyone to let her toxic mind back out into the world, but Patty will stand by her rehabilitation claims.
Patty will wonder if Phyllis is still holding a grudge, so Phyllis will make it clear that she’ll hold one as long as she lives since Phyllis tried to kill Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier).
Patty will taunt Phyllis over Summer turning against her before urging her to get some help for those anger issues!
Afterward, Michael and Lauren will try to warn Phyllis about Victor’s nasty plan that’s about to have personal legal consequences for her.
However, Michael will want to offer Phyllis a way out.
At the Newman ranch, Victor will meet with Patty and praise her for doing such a great job.
Although Victor was skeptical of contacting her, he’ll be glad he did since the results speak for themselves.
Patty will admit it was the best decision she ever made and will be delighted when Victor hands over the bag of cash he promised her.
Victor will wonder if Patty’s going to leave town now, but she’ll hint about sticking around.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Patty’s decision to remain in Genoa City will cause more chaos, so stay tuned.
