The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Monday, May 4, reveals that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will deceive Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) while Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) offers to swap in for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) on his latest scheme.
At Crimson Lights, Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) will pop up and comment on Jack still wearing his wedding ring.
After Patty acts like Jack’s marriage to Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) is a lost cause, she’ll urge him to see the sparks between them instead.
Jack will try to get Patty to admit that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) put her up to that scheme on the yacht, so he’ll let her get close to him in the process.
Kyle will arrive and scold Jack after Patty leaves since Diane could’ve walked in.
After Jack hints about his plan to weaponize Patty against Victor, Kyle will insist he should take the lead instead of his dad.
It’ll be decided that while Jack is focusing on his marriage, Kyle will go after Victor since he won’t see Kyle coming.
In the end, Jack will suggest using Patty to destroy any chance that Nikki will ever go back to Victor.
At the GCAC, Victor will bump into Diane, so they’ll bicker before Diane takes a seat next to him at the bar.
Victor will insist he’s going to get back what he’s lost and keep winning, but Diane will hope he falls so far that he can never get back up.
When Patty saunters in, she’ll pretend it’s the first time she’s seen Victor since she got back to town.
Victor will pretend the same thing and act like it’s wonderful news that Patty is sane now.
Diane won’t buy this little charade for a second since she’ll know Patty helped Victor ruin her marriage to Jack.
Once Diane stomps off to a nearby table, Victor will be pleased over Patty sticking around and being “the gift that keeps on giving.”
Patty will confirm she intends to take full advantage of Diane’s commitment to holding a grudge against the husband she never deserved.
Diane will glare at Victor and Patty as they clink their glasses in a victorious moment.
At Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) place, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will stop by and speak with Billy about their plan to pick up the kids from boarding school for summer break.
Victor will admit she’s also there to give Billy a heads-up on the emails supposedly found during a forensic sweep that implicate Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
Billy will learn he’s in the emails as well, so he’ll rant over them being fabricated and wonder what exactly they say.
Victoria will insist that Billy is mentioned as playing a role, so he’ll fume over Victor using this opportunity to bring him down.
On Monday’s Y&R episode, Billy will make it clear that if Victor goes through with this, he’s going to regret it.
Although Billy will push Victoria to have a backbone and shut Victor down, she’ll snap at Billy for acting like his hands are clean when he was gloating about his Chancellor win.
Billy will argue that he never had true control of Chancellor as the argument escalates.
Victoria will ultimately yell that Billy never stops being an “obsessive, selfish ass” right as Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) appears.
After Victoria notices the ring on Sally’s finger, she’ll congratulate Sally and Billy on the engagement.
Billy will admit Sally’s pregnant, so Victoria will hint about the baby changing things before she leaves.
Once Billy fills Sally in on all the fake email drama, he’ll acknowledge that Cane and Phyllis are going to face charges.
Sally will wonder what all this means for Billy, so he’ll assure her that he intends to find out.
Outside the park café, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will catch up with Nikki.
Since Nikki won’t think a return to Chancellor is in the cards, she’ll suggest she might start a nonprofit or help Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) get his new nightclub off the ground.
Nikki will think maybe Claire could run Chancellor instead, but Claire will doubt she has enough experience for that.
Lily will overhear something about Chancellor and try to fish for information.
After Lily asks about Nikki’s possible Chancellor comeback, Nikki will shut down the idea that it’s happening.
Nikki will also ask Lily about the deal she made with Victor to fake her kidnapping and dupe Cane.
Since Lily made so many sacrifices, Nikki will want to know what Victor gave her in exchange.
Lily will claim that was just about teaching Cane a lesson and nothing more, so she’ll lie to Nikki and keep quiet about the Chancellor agreement.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily has more tight spots ahead of her, so stay tuned.
