The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, September 30, reveals that Marie Wilson (Jade Harlow) will overdose and land in the hospital.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will also be present for Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) outburst at Crimson Lights, so here’s how Wednesday’s Y&R drama will play out.
For starters, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will deliver some alarming news to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about Marie, who overdosed at the motel again and is barely breathing at the hospital.
Since Nick could find out from someone else, it’ll be decided that he needs to hear about this from his family so they can give him support.
At Crimson Lights, Nick will catch up with Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) before spotting Joe, his old drug dealer.
After Nick reminds Joe that he warned him to stay away, Joe will argue that he was just getting a cup of coffee.
Nick will make it clear that Joe isn’t welcome there, but Joe will mention something about seeing Marie earlier and rile Nick up even more.
Of course, Nick won’t want to believe it since Marie told him that she was headed back to her hometown to be near her parents.
As Nick causes a big scene in front of Esther, Sharon and everyone else in the coffeehouse, he’ll physically drag Joe out of the building.
Sharon will do her best to calm Nick down in the aftermath, but he’ll snap at her for trying to be his therapist.
Once Sharon insists she’s Nick’s friend instead, he’ll apologize.
However, Nick will eventually get Adam’s phone call about a meeting at the ranch, so that’ll set the stage for more trouble.
At Society, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will be at a table with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) walks in, so she’ll ask Kyle to join them.
Kyle will end up making conversation with Claire about Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) as Victoria sits there awkwardly.
Once Claire is gone, Kyle and Victoria will establish that what they have is complicated, but they won’t regret it.
Kyle and Victoria will also change the names for the numbers in their phones, so they’ll be known as “Boris” and “Natasha” from now on.
Once Kyle goes to his secret apartment and pats himself on the back for renting it, Victoria will head to the ranch for a Nick-related meeting.
Nick will find Adam, Victoria, Nikki and Victor waiting for him, so he’ll fear this is an intervention and promise he’s fine.
That’s when Nick will find out about Marie overdosing and ending up back in the hospital.
Marie didn’t really have family like she told Nick, so he’ll be crushed over her setback.
Once Nick leaves, he’ll decide Joe is a dead man and will clearly hold him responsible for selling Marie more drugs.
