Is this realllly what’s on the table for discussion right now?? Whether Angelina Jolie‘s daughter Zahara should or shouldn’t be sporting braids in her hair??
I obviously don’t know Angie or Brad personally, but the absolute absurdity of this would no doubt make them laugh. Or be disgusted- the fact that I’m covering it is crazy but the argument still stands- and is ridiculous.
Apparently, celebrity hair stylist DaRico Jackson has criticized Angie for braiding her 6 year old adopted daughters hair.
He claims that “at 6-years-old, Zahara is way too young to be rocking that look and that extensions will only breed insecurity in Zahara and point out the fact that she’s different from the rest of her siblings.”
This comment, naturally infuriates me. All little girls wear they’re hair differently – without any regard to race or ethnicity. They’re girls. Is Zahara allowed to play with a Barbie doll or will that “breed insecurity” too? The Pitt-Jolie family have done everything to educate their children about all their backgrounds, and also what it’s like to live in a mixed race family. I think they are wonderful parents. Braid your hair Z, and braid it proudly!
