George W. Bush and Condoleezza Rice Intimate Affair - Former President Begs Forgiveness From Laura Bush

According to the latest issue of the GLOBE, George W. Bush‘s recent heart surgery has sparked a ‘tearful confession’ to Laura Bush about his past affair with Condoleezza Rice.

The headline screams ‘Forgive Me!‘, and alleges that Bush may have had an intimate affair with Rice in the past, which has been hinted at before in blind items and rumors. Sources explain that Bush was worried about making it through his heart surgery, and wanted to come clean with his wife before he went into it. The sources hint at Bush coming completely clean with Laura, and asking for forgiveness. It’s not immediately clear whether she did forgive him, but they haven’t publicly separated or divorced, which probably means they’re still together.

In this day and age, politicians seem to have a free reign to cheat on their partners, and for some weird reason, their partners seem to stay with them and support them. Well, not some weird reason  - they’re staying because they have no other choice. To leave their husbands would mean to leave their lifestyle, put their children through horrible media scrutiny, and to possibly be threatened by a non-disclosure agreement and other legal forms of legal retribution. And in Hillary Clinton‘s case, leaving her husband would have damaged her future political career.

In Bush’s case, this isn’t the first time rumors of an affair with Rice popped up. They were floating around during Bush’s term in office, and although nothing was ever confirmed or leaked, there were a lot of political ‘sources’ that hinted towards it. But it’s been so long since then that I doubt Laura even cares anymore.

What do you guys think of Bush’s affair with Rice? And do you think Laura did forgive him? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
