Well, this is what you get for being a Twitter famewhore. Eventually, it will come back to bite you in the ass. Our dear Kim Kardashian decided to tweet about George Zimmerman’s ‘Not Guilty’ verdict in the murder of Trayvon Martin, and of course her tweets were in line with most of the rest of the celebrities. She supported Trayvon in her tweets, with the hashtag #NoJustice.
She tweeted, “My heart goes out to Trayvon Martin’s family & loved ones. Thought & prayers being sent their way. #nojustice.”
Well, that didn’t exactly work in her favor. Instead of fans and Twitter followers agreeing with her, they hit out against her support. Why did they do that? Well, because Kim’s father, Robert Kardashian, was part of the group of lawyers that got OJ Simpson acquitted for the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.
One person tweeted, “Kim Kardashian tweeted earlier “#nojustice” about the Trayvon case, but her dad was one of the attorneys that got OJ acquitted of murder.” Another added, “This country is full of so many idiots,” while a third person exclaimed, “Kim Kardashian tweets in support of Trayvon when her own father helped get OJ Simpson acquitted.”
Well, at least people realize that Kim could probably care less about the outcome of the Zimmerman trial. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if that wasn’t her who tweeted, but some poor intern hired by E!
What do you guys think about Kim’s tweets for #NoJustice and the fan tweets calling her out? Do you think Kim deserves to get backlash for the tweet, especially since she herself was not personally involved in the OJ Simpson trial? Or do you think she should have been more careful about tweeting about this incident, and she deserved the backlash? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
