David speeds Snow to the hospital. Emma and Henry follow close behind. Gold sits spinning as Zelena comes in. She’s pleased with his work. Snow screams in pain as Dr. Whale calls for a nurse. Z tells Gold that she knows spinning clears his mind and then turns the pile of gold into a brain and puts it in her box of magical stuff. She says there’s just one more ingredient to collect. Snow screams again.

In the past, we see Gold tutoring a young Regina while Zelena watches from Oz, jealous and angry. She tells her monkey to be quiet. Glenda comes in and tells her she’s not here to fight here. She thanks her for showing Oz the true nature of the wizard. Glenda says the wizard will do good to spend some time as Z’s monkey. Glenda tells her she’s wasting her time – she tells her no one can come back in time and invites her to come with her to meet some people. She tells her to come meet her real sisters.

Now, Z has Gold digging. He tells her destiny is destiny and she says he’s wrong and she can change it by keeping the past. She says her mother will keep her and Regina will never be born and she’ll have everything she wanted. Gold tells her no matter what of her past she changes, it won’t change who she is. Zelena says we’ll see. Gold has carved out a large compass-like carving in the dirt, presumably to work the spell.

Snow is in labor and stressed out. Emma works a protection spell and Regina says it may keep out anyone trying to work dark magic. Hook comes in and says he wanted to help. He tells her he was trying to protect her by not telling her about his cursed kiss. Emma tells him she’s taking the fight to Zelena to protect Henry and her family.

David tells Emma that she can’t fight Zelena alone and says she has to take Hook along. Emma says he only has one hand and no magic and David says he can draw fire. Hook isn’t proud to hear he’s cannon fodder. Emma tells Henry that she has to go take care of the witch and he tells her he’s not worried because defeating bad guys is what you do. Regina promises to keep him safe and Emma thanks her.
Emma and Hook head out to do battle with Zelena.

Doc Hopper sits with Henry who is reading the classifieds. He says he’s looking for apartments for he and his Mom. The doc tells him he missed him and Henry says he thinks a room by the water might be nice. The doc asks if he’s talked to him Mom about staying in Storybrooke. Henry says simply – we’re home.

Emma and Hook also talk about where she will go. Hook tells Emma that she and Henry belong in the town and Hook asks what Henry thinks and she says she’s his mom and she’ll decide. Hook says she wants to leave for her and not Henry. He asks why she’s scared of staying and says he thinks it’s because she can see a happy future there.

Zelena walks up on them and tells her she needs to give up her magic or lose Hook. Gold attacks Hook at her orders and puts him head down in water. Emma struggles to pull her loose but Z tells her she can’t free him. She poofs away in green smoke.

Glenda brings Zelena to meet the other witches. She says they each work and area of magic but they have one seat at the table that needs filling – the West seat – which is filled by innocence. Zelena tells her she’s wicked and Glenda says she can reclaim her innocence and fulfill the role. One of the other witches tells her to tell Zelena. Glenda says their book of prophecies foretells of a powerful sorceress who will be brought by a cyclone and will take on the role. Z says she came by cyclone.

Hook is released from the water finally but isn’t breathing. Emma has a choice to make. She gives him mouth to mouth to resuscitate him but her magic flows out of her as a result. Hook comes to and asks her what she’s done.

Back in Oz, Z watches Regina and then tries to calm herself of some of her rage. She tells Regina she’s over her. Glenda appears and tells her she knew she would make the right choice. Glenda gives her a pendant and says they each have one. She says the pendant will harness and grow her power and she must protect her.

Glenda says without the pendant, you’re powerless, but with it, you can accomplish untold miracles. Glenda tells her she is now one of them. She hands her the mirror and all of Zelena’s envious green fades away and she’s beautiful and pure again. Glenda tells her she took control of her destiny and has done this for herself.

Zelena and Gold march through town as Snow’s labor increases. Zelena and Gold enter the hospital and she knocks out everyone. Belle stands in her way and she knocks her out as well. Gold holds her but then has to follow Z. Regina tells Hopper to take Henry and go hide. Regina is now in her way and she easily knocks her out as well.

Glenda shows Zelena the west – her new territory. They hear thunder and there’s a cyclone of green smoke coming with something inside it. Glenda and Z search the wreckage and hear a girl. They dig her out. She tells them she’s okay. Z asks where she’s from and Glenda tells the girl she’s in Kansas. The girl says her name is Dorothy Gale. Glenda tells her she must be a special girl and says she should come to meet her sisters. Z isn’t pleased.

David tells Snow to focus and give one more push. She does. Z stares down at her unconscious sister and marches on to the delivery room. The baby is born. It’s a boy. David kisses his wife. The doctor hands David his son and they look at the new child with amazement. Snow takes her son in her arms for the first time as Zelena bursts in. She says it’s a shame she has to break up the family. She freezes first David then Snow and takes the baby. She says he’s so pure and innocent and disappears in a puff of green smoke with him.

Glenda tells Dorothy she’s glad she’s there with them. They all sit at the table and tell her that their home is her home. She thanks them and tells them they are kind and have treated her like family. Zelena watches hidden nearby. Glenda sees this and looks concerned. She goes out by the well and finds Z and asks if she is okay. Z tells her to go away and then sees a patch of green on her neck.

Glenda thinks she was watching Regina and she says she was watching them with Dorothy who is a perfect candidate to take her place at the table. Glenda says that won’t happen but Z has the book of prophecy and says that the person to take that seat must defeat the greatest evil. Z tells her that means that Dorothy is supposed to be in the seat and that she is the great evil she must defeat. Glenda tells her if that’s what she believes, that’s what she’ll become.

Z hums to the baby as they walk along and tells the child they’re almost home. Snow lies in bed weak and devastated. David takes his sword and runs out. Regina asks where he’s going and he says he has to get his son back. Emma comes in and she has to tell them she failed. David says they took her brother and Emma says Zelena took her magic. Regina asks how it happened and she says it’s not important. Henry tells Regina that she can beat her sister. He says Z only beat her because she has more dark magic.

They tell her that when she kissed Henry she broke the curse with love which is white magic. Henry tells her he knows there’s good in her. Robin comes up and tells her the same thing. Henry tells her she was once a villain but is now a hero and defeating bad guys is what heroes do. He says he believes in her and she needs to believe too.

Dorothy goes to get water from the well when Z comes out. She says she didn’t recognize her and asks if she’s okay. Z says she decided to show her true colors. Z says according to the prophecy she’s the only one who can defeat her and she tries to throw a fireball on her and Dorothy tosses water at her. Z melts as the girl watches horrified. Dorothy calls for Glenda who puffs there and she tells her that she threw water on her and points to the melty mess.

Glenda says the prophecy has come to pass. Dorothy tells her she’s sorry and Glenda says she didn’t leave her a choice. She tells them she’s one of them now but Dorothy says she wants to go home. Glenda says she can’t cross realms but maybe the wizard can. She tells Dorothy that with Z gone, her monkey magic should be gone as well. They walk away and Z comes back to life in a puff of smoke.

Z tells Gold that once she changes the past, she’ll find him again and this time he’ll choose her. He tells her he won’t and says no matter what she does, he’ll find a way to kill her. She starts her curse when the good guys come in. Regina tells her they won’t let her succeed. Gold tells Emma to get the dagger so she can control him instead of Zelena.

Z calls for her flying monkeys and pushes Regina back. Regina is back on her feet and Z tells her that no dark magic can touch her. Z tells her they are both bad and Regina says not to tell her who she can be. Regina pops up some white magic on her hands as Z asks what she’s doing and Regina says she’s changing. She throws Z back with white magic.

Z loses control of the Dark One’s dagger and Regina snatches the pendant from around her neck. David almost lops the head off a flying monkey but then it turns into a person because her magic is gone. Gold gets ready to kill Zelena, but Regina grabs up the Dark One dagger and says this has to stop. She says they have taken too many lives and that heroes don’t kill. Zelena asks if she’s a hero now and Regina says that today she is.

Back in Oz, Glenda takes Dorothy along the yellow brick road to Emerald City to see the wizard. Dorothy looks around in wonder. Glenda tells her to call to the wizard and the girl says hello. The wizard’s shadow appears behind the curtain and says he’s there and is all powerful. He tells her that sending her home is the least he can do for releasing her from the evil witch. He magics glittery slippers onto her feet and tells her how to use them to get home. Dorothy clicks her heels and is gone in a puff of smoke.

Glenda tells the wizard he can show his truth self now. The curtain falls and it’s Zelena. She tells Glenda that now that Dorothy is gone, no one can stop her. Glenda says that as long as she’s in Oz, she will not stop looking for a way to stop her. Z says she needs to go then and puffs her away to the Enchanted Forest.

Zelena sits in a jail cell and asks why Regina doesn’t just kill her and put her out of her misery. Regina says she knows what it’s like and says their mother ruined her too. Regina says her mother cost her those she loved. Regina says that she won’t kill her but will give her what she got – a second chance. Z asks what if she doesn’t want it and Regina tells her that would be a mistake. She tells her that evil isn’t born, it’s made, and so is good.

Regina tells her to create a new destiny or else she will take her heart and crush it. She tells Z that she has to put that pendant somewhere safe. She walks out. Regina goes into her vault and hides the necklace away in a box. She smiles triumphantly.

Back at his shop, Gold paces. He looks in the mirror. Belle comes in and they go to each other. They hug tight and she tells him she knew he would be back. He says her constant faith is a blessing. She tells him that she knows it wasn’t him – it was Zelena. He says not always. He asks why she always stand by him and she says she loves him and always has.

She has the Dark One dagger and he asks how she got it. She says Regina gave it to her to make amends and because she knew she wouldn’t abuse its power. Belle tells him he should have it because she trusts him. She asks him to promise not to go after Zelena. She tells him he’s better than that. He takes the dagger in his hand. He says the dagger is trust and that means she trusts him with all his heart and she says she does. He hands the dagger back to her and says he’s now hers. She asks what he’s saying and he asks her to marry him. She nods yes enthusiastically. They kiss. She holds him tight.

David comes into Snow’s hospital room holding their son. Snow wakes and reaches for him. Emma watches her parents and their newborn son. Hook joins her at the door and says he never thought he would see one of those. She says it’s a baby, but he meant the happy ending. He thanks her and she asks if he thought she would let him drown.

He asks if her powers are back and she says that she won’t need it in New York. Henry comes up and she tells him to come meet his new uncle. Henry and Emma go into the room. Hook stands outside of the door looking in at the happy family with sadness on his face.

Z hears footsteps outside her cell and thinks it’s Regina, but it’s Gold. He tells her that Belle thinks she has the dagger, but then he pulls the real one out. He says the only real good thing his dad taught him was sleight of hand. He’s suddenly insider he cell and she begs for mercy and reminds him she has no powers anymore.

He tells her that he promises Neal he would avenge his death and Rumplestilskin never breaks his promise. He stabs her with his knife and she turns ceramic and shatters then turns to green sand. A green light comes on in the box that holds her pendant. Green smoke swirls out and across Storybrooke and to the intricate carving area of Zelena’s spell which turns gold and then a swirling portal opens.

The End!
