Big Brother 17 Vanessa Rousso and Girlfriend Melissa Ouellet Engaged to be Married

Vanessa Rousso may not have brought home the $500K on Wednesday’s Big Brother 17 Final, but she won big after her three-month stint on the CBS hit reality show, “Big Brother 17.” Vanessa announced that her longtime girlfriend and live in partner Melissa Ouellet popped the question before the “BB17” wrap party in West Hollywood on Thursday night. It shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to her fans she was thrilled with the proposal.

Vanessa was eliminated during the final week in “Big Brother 17.” She came in third place, just shy of winning $50K at least. Vanessa isn’t exactly strapped for cash; however, as she is ranked as one of the best women poker players in the world. Vanessa told Liz the last few days in the house that she planned to ask Mel to marry her. It looks like Mel beat her to the punch and asked her first. Vanessa was over the moon excited and stated she couldn’t wait to start her life as a wife – and wife.

Vanessa told the press, “The last 48 hours had been a whirlwind. The biggest shock came to me my amazing and talented girlfriend asked me to marry her while at the hotel last night.” She went on to say, “Of course, I said yes. We are getting MARRIED.” The crowd cheered and took pictures of the happy couple.

A member of the press asked Mel if she knew that Vanessa was planning to pop the question to her. She said she loves Vanessa and cannot imagine life without her. Vanessa and Mel have been together for years. Vanessa spoke about her love and devotion to her girlfriend many times while in the house. Vanessa appeared at the wrap party wearing a flashy, gorgeous ring showing off her new engagement.

Vanessa played one of the best and domineering that the show has ever seen from a female competitor. She won multiple Head of Households, veto comps, and controlled almost every single H0H’s nominations. She was so good at the game; fans were convinced the show was rigged in her favor. Vanessa reportedly has a CBS show called “Poker Face” debuting sometime in the late fall. CDL would like to say congratulations to Vanessa and Mel on their recent engagement.
