All eyes are focused on Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, as she clings to life at Emory University Hospital, but the events leading up to her near drowning are also being put in the spotlight. According to Hollywood Life, Bobbi Kristina was driving erratically just days before being found unresponsive in a tubful of water. On January 27, Bobbi Kristina lost control of her Jeep Liberty and collided with a Ford Taurus in another lane. The driver of the Taurus, Russell Eckerman, was taken to North Fulton Hospital following the car crash and he remains in serious condition. Alan Herman, the lawyer for the Eckerman family, noted that the victim was still unable to speak, but doctors are optimistic about his recovery. Unfortunately, Bobbi Kristina’s doctors can’t say the same for her. In any case there is little doubt that Eckerman will sue since Bobbi Kristina was completely responsible for the accident.
There have been several reports of organ failure and a decline in Bobbi Kristina’s overall health since her incident. However, Bobby Brown’s attorney, Christopher Brown, has been quick to squelch any rumors that Bobbi Kristina will be taken off life support in the near future. Many of the Browns and Houstons have remained close to Bobbi Kristina’s bedside as they offer their support to the 21-year-old woman. Bobby Brown has taken charge at of his daughter at the hospital and he refuses to let Bobbi Kristina go without giving her a chance to fight.
While the Brown and Houston families are hoping for the best, Bobbi Kristina’s doctors are likely preparing them for the worst. A source close to the Brown family claims that the plug won’t be pulled, but if Bobbi Kristina dies naturally, they’ll accept it as “God’s plan.” The insider also noted that if Bobbi Kristina “does get better, it would be a miracle.” A miracle is exactly what Bobbi Kristina needs right now.
