NCIS Casts Sarah Clarke As Michael Weatherly’s Replacement After Season 13 Exit

Has NCIS just added a new cast member to replace Michael Weatherly? Twilight alum Sarah Clarke has joined the NCIS cast as a new agent named Tess Monroe. According to NCIS spoilers, Tess Monroe will be transferred from NYC to DC and will appear in the final two episodes of Season 13 – and maybe more!

NCIS fans were devastated earlier this year when Michael Weatherly confirmed that he was leaving the CBS drama, which is the current number one drama on primetime, after a lengthy 13 seasons as Tony DiNozzo. However, frontrunner Mark Harmon just signed a contract for two more seasons, so the show must go on!

NCIS producer Gary Glasberg released an official statement regarding Sarah Clarke’s addition to the cast. Glasberg announced, “We feel so fortunate to have Sarah Clarke joining us to play Tess. I’ve been a fan of her’s going back to 24 and more recently Bosch. She’s a gifted actress, a total pro, and we can’t wait to introduce her to our NCIS family and have some fun.”

According to E! Online, Sarah’s character Tess Monroe is, “quick-witted, tough and shrewd. She’s a multiple divorcee with no kids and thinks of her team as her family. She’s no-nonsense on the outside, but has a big heart underneath with a belief in honor, justice and doing what’s right.”

Rumor has it that TPTB could be introducing Sarah’s character Tess Monroe to the cast to fill the void that Michael Weatherly leaves, and if she resonates well with the fans – she could be made a permanent fixture on Gibbs’ team and take Tony’s place.
