Did Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell get engaged over the holidays? The ex-Vampire Diaries star’s Instagram photos hint at the possibility. Dobrev shared a pic of the cute couple bundled up in ski gear just on the brink of a New Year’s kiss while enjoying time on the snowy slopes.
As previously reported, Nina, Austin and the Dobrev family rented an uber-luxurious $5,000-a-night cabin in Utah for the holidays.
But it’s not just the snapshot of a smiling Nina waiting for Austin’s kiss that has “The Vampire Diaries” fans buzzing about a possible New Year’s Eve proposal. Another adorable Instagram shot shows the couple opening Christmas gifts.
What to make of the pic where the lights are turned down low and Nina is possibly holding a glass of champagne? Austin and Nina are peering into a round item that is it shining back at them. It could just be a reflection from dimmed chandelier in the background that gives that effect.
What is that round gift? Is it a mirror reflecting how bright the future may be for Nina Dobrev and Austin Stowell?
Then there’s a photo of a grinning Nina caught frosting a three-layer cake. Fans comment on the sweater Nina is wearing in the pic – did the Dobrev’s host an ugly sweater party on Christmas Eve? The former “The Vampire Diaries” star’s blue Santa sweater isn’t that ugly!
Next up is Austin donning antlers and a red Rudolph nose as Nina puckers up. Was the actress waiting for kiss from Rudolph? Was that the night the antler-clad actor got down on bended knee and asked Nina to marry him? Did Austin ask Nina’s dad for permission to marry his daughter beforehand?
The only Instagram photo that’s captioned is the collage pic of Nina Dobrev frosting the cake and Austin Stowell with antlers and red Rudolph nose. “Throwing back to the other day when I baked a Carrot Birthday Cake #HappyBirthday/Christmas #RudolfTheRedNosedAustin.
The cake could have been a joint birthday celebration for Nina and Austin. Stowell’s birthday was December 24, Dobrev’s is January 9. Maybe Austin decided the intoxicating combo of the Christmas and New Year’s holiday, his birthday and Nina’s upcoming birthday was the perfect opportunity to pop THE question?
