There was a serial killer on the loose and apparently he decided to change his MO from exposing hypocrisy to stalking Rosewood on tonight’s all new episode of “Rosewood”.

Originally this serial killer had taken pleasure in misdirecting Miami PD with his pieces of “art” that was made from his victims and for a while this had left them at their wits end, but then something changed. Out of nowhere their perp had pretended to get sloppy and he fooled Detective Villa into believing she could honestly capture him. Which was what she thought she did when she had arrested this Roger who had claimed to be kidnapped by the serial killer yet hadn’t mentioned the profile picture he was giving them was that of a mask.

But Roger was soon cleared when another person broke into Rosewood’s office and had left a message at the lab that was seemingly written in saliva while Roger had still been in lock up. Only the saliva hadn’t belonged to their serial killer. It had matched a woman named Jennifer Lee that had been reported missing by her roommate.

So Villa had been forced into admitting she had made a mistake and unfortunately her boss Captain Hornstock had to take the wrap for it in front of the press. What with the press naturally wanting someone to blame for the fact a serial killer had still been on the loose and was therefore able to kidnap a fresh victim without the cops knowing about it, but Rosewood had thought the blame game was unfair. And so he chose to do the one that Villa told him not.

He spoke up at the press conference and had told the reports to stop calling what the serial killer was doing – art. Rosewood would then go on to say that real art had the ability to inspire and invoke emotion. And so the seriel killer decided to respond by setting out a new piece just a few feet away from Villa and her mother’s home.

Apparently the body of Jennifer Lee had been arranged to make it appear as if she was a statue and Villa had admittedly been thrown by what she saw. Yet, once she got over her initial shock, she had called the body in and had Rosewood come down personally to check out the body. While she questioned her mother over what the older woman claimed to have saw.

Daisie Villa said she saw a car parked in oddly the night before so Villa had her mother come down to the station to give a description. Only her mother was more interested in flirting with the captain than with helping her apprehend a serial killer. So Villa ended up needing Mike for some R&R afterwards.

And after the two had left the supply closet at the hospital, they had run into Rosewood. Rosewood had gone to the hospital with Kat’s husband because an altercation between them had resulted in the husband’s injured hand. Yet Rosewood had been surprised by Villa’s disheveled appearance.

He didn’t think supply closets were her thing, but she hadn’t been too interested in what he thought. Her captain had finally pinpointed who had hacked his station a while back and so Villa had met up with him to arrest a hacker by the name of Killswitch. Only Killswitch turned out to be a seventeen-year-old girl whose real name was Andi.

And, boy, did Andi had a mouth on her. She said now that everyone knew she had hacked the police department; million-dollar security companies will be beating down her front door. So she was only got to hand over the email of the person that hired her as long as she got immunity as well as having as the recognition she wanted.

But Andi was eventually kidnapped by the serial killer so her life had been in Villa and Rosewood’s hands.

It seems the killer had tricked the police into believing they were going to meet Rosewood for luch when actually they had targeted Andi. And had begged Rosewood to figure it all out in time to save the teenager. So Rosewood had gone back to the first victim and had tried to figure out why he had been chosen.

And the answer he finally came to was that the first victim had stolen their killer’s artwork. Apparently the killer was an artist and the first victim as well as Jennifer had conspired to steal their artwork and profit from it. Therefore, the reason the killer had gone on a spree and desecrated the victims’ bodies into looking like art was because they desperately wanted recognition for themselves as a true artist.

So the killer had left behind enough clues for Rosewood to find her and, when he did, Ms. Katz had thanked him right before she attempted to murder him. But Villa had thankfully been there and she had managed to stop a deranged woman in her tracks. And that had allowed Rosewood to save Andi from the poison in her system.

However, when all was said and done, the current police chief told Hornstock to fire Villa if he wanted that promotion he’s been vying for and Hornstock chose to turn him down. He said he wasn’t going to stab people in the back in order to become the newest Police Chief. And he called the man that was still technically his boss spineless for demanding him to go against his principles.

And therefore Hornstock won’t be going anywhere, but somehow both Villa and Rosewood lost out when their respected loved ones left them.

Rosewood had told Kat to return to her husband if she still loved him which she did. Meanwhile Mike had ultimately decided to take the doctors without borders position because Villa had been dragging her feet on asking him to stay for her. So, by the end of this episode, both Rosewood and Villa were surprisingly single.

And we’re kind of all hoping that we know what that means!

THE END!
