Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sami (Alison Sweeney) will get some shocking news. She was devastated when Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) ruthless actions forced her to bury her son. Sami and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) know they could never get over Will’s (Chandler Massey) murder. All they can do is cope with the pain and press on.
However, these parents aren’t doomed to grieve forever. Lucas got an inkling of Will’s survival first, but it won’t be long until Sami gets updates. This will spark Sami’s sudden return to Salem. She’ll be anxious to uncover the truth about where Will’s been and how this mix-up happened.
Once Sami sees Will, she’ll enjoy an emotional reunion with her boy. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sami will break down in tears as they embrace. Will’s comeback was undoubtedly a huge factor in Alison Sweeney’s decision to return. Sweeney was outspoken about how much she hated Will’s death on the NBC soap.
Fortunately, the show now has a chance to correct their mistake. Ron Carlivati, Days of Our Lives’ head writer, is hoping to undo the damage. Many viewers still haven’t forgiven DOOL for Will’s demise, so this is a great way to appease those disgruntled fans. Will was a popular character and he’s certainly been missed on canvas.
Sonny (Freddie Smith) will inevitably be torn between Will and Paul (Christopher Sean) as all of this plays out. An exciting love triangle is ahead, but Days will definitely make time for some heartwarming family scenes. Marlena (Deidre Hall) will be especially glad to see her grandson again. She may offer advice if Sonny and Will struggle to reconnect. That could be tricky since she’s also grown closer to Paul!
As for Sami, she’ll quickly shift her attention to other stories. Word has it Days could be bringing back EJ in the form of a recast. Even if they don’t, a search could still set up an off-screen reunion. After all, Sami will need something to take her away from Salem once more.
Before she takes off, Sami will have a few run-ins with old foes. Nicole (Arianne Zucker) will be on the receiving end of Sami’s wrath. There should be some fun conflict between Sami and the DiMeras, too. We’ll keep you posted as other details emerge.
