Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz hosted a backstage lounge at a weekend music event this week in Chicago. Unfortunately, not everything went well.Sme sponsors in the gifting suite complained that they didn’t get any photo ops for all the swag they gave away. “Pete was a host [of the party] and Ashlee was his guest, but although they hit up a lot of the gifting suites, nobody got photos,” said a snitch.
However, another sponsor was given the cold shoulder for entirely different reasons. “They were given ‘KY Intimacy kits,’ but they wouldn’t take photos with them,” laughs an insider. “They were both overheard saying how Joe [Ashlee’s manager dad] would murder them if they started showing off that stuff.”
