Classic Children’s Books Expected To Fetch One Million Dollars

At an auction to be held next month there will be the copy of  "Through The Looking Glass and What Alice Found There"  that was owned by Alice Liddel, the little girl who inspired Charles Dodgson to write "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland" and its sequel mention above.   Also on hand will be a copy of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" owned by its author Beatrix Potter as well as some rare Winnie The Pooh volumes.   The auction is expected to generate total sales of $1 million, said Profiles in History.
