Alec Baldwin has been talking lately about how he might consider running for mayor of NYC in 2013 (unlucky number, stay away, Alec!). And he’s just been given a mighty fine dose of support from an A-list couple.
Jennifer Garner and her husband Ben Affleck have extended their blessings to the actor, who may or may not choose to run in the mayoral election. Garner said, “I think he should go for it. He can run and let people vote. I stand up for Alec Baldwin . . . Ben stands up for Alec too.”
Even though you have absolutely zero governmental experience and an always-angry sounding voice that may or may not make the citizens of NYC feel uncomfortable, you may in fact be on to something here, Alec. A posse of celebrities often time means power in a political campaign, so looks like you’re traversing down all the right avenues.
I’m still not crazy about celebrity politicians, but I guess if J. Garner has given you her blessing, you’ve got a wholehearted tiny one from me as well!
